Chapter 18 - Patriarch's Children.

P.O.V - Diana.

I sit in my new room, in my new courtyard meditating.

I've fully condensed my realm and I'm currently mid way through the First Rate Realm.

Might take a while to break through to the Early Peak Realm.

After the discussion with the Patriach and the Grand Elder, two things happened.

One, though I've never been a slacker, I became more serious with my training.

Hearing that the three great powers of the Murim, along with the Imperials had a hand in I and my brothers death, I just couldn't help but train at every opportunity given to me.

I now had not just the Heavenly Demon Cult but also the other two Great Powers and the Imperials to cut down.

This may take a lot longer than I had taught but, no matter the delay, my revenge must be served.

Though I later heard that the Dang Clan along with some Sects and a family were not involved.

Though I still need more details, this should be enough for now.

Two, my life in the Dang Clan has become notably better.

I was moved out of my raggedy courtyard to one in the inner clan's court.

My name was changed from 'Dang Ki So' to 'Dang So'.

I've been receiving better treatment since then.

Though a lot of envious eyes are now around me, I could deal with that.

The annoying ones would be the Dang Patriarch's children though.

Ever since it was announced that my name would be changed to Dang So their attitude towards me has changed.

It seems they were not told the reason why from how they've been looking at me.

Previously they always ignored me and looked down on me but now they always look wary of me.

Well, since I'm also a child of the Patriarch, that could spell a little competition for them.

Excluding me, the Patriarch has three children, two male and one female.

The female being the eldest.

Distinct green eyes, black long hair, slim build but curvy figure, standing around five feet eight inches, 5'8.

She goes by the name Dang Soha.

She is very calm and composed from what I've seen.

She doesn't act all wary around me, she has always just looked at me with some kind of pity.

She is known as the most talented of the upcoming Dang Clan generations.

Though of course not as talented as I and David.

At just the age of twenty two she is already an Early Peak martial expert.

She entered the Early Peak stage two years ago.

That's some serious talent, especially with the fact that this clan lacks resources as it is right now, along with the fact that she's a female so she wouldn't be receiving as much resources as the male children.

She is greatly respected within the clan for this.

Even her younger male siblings don't dare act out around her.

She would make a very good clan head but unfortunately her fate as the daughter of the Dang Family has been sealed to be married off to another family to form relations.

Sad, but that is the way of this godforsaken place.

The second child, Dang Hyuk.

Quite tall at five feet-eleven inches, 5'11.

Distinct green eyes, long black hair, known to be quite handsome.

Also quite talented.

He just became a First Rate Martial Artists at the age of eighteen.

Very arrogant, though behaves himself when around the Grand Elder, his Father and his elder sister.

Used to ignore me but now looks at me like he wants to stab me in the chest.

I don't know why he's so wary of me when he should know that a female can't lead the clan.

Though I have no plans of following that tradition.

Maybe envy?

Anyways...

The third child, Dang Woo.

A little shorter than Dang Hyuk.

A little more muscular than him too.

Same black hair though he's is short.

Same green eyes.

Also quite arrogant, though not as arrogant as his elder brother.

He also looks at me warily.

His is most likely envy.

Since I'm the same age as him, fifteen.

I was a maid and yet all of a sudden I start being treated at almost the same level as him.

I can get that.

But of course they were not the only ones looking at me with such eyes.

The children and disciples of the elders too.

Oh and apparently, the second elder's son was the one whom the mistress of the clan had used to kill my mother.

But he unfor... sorry he fortunately died in the process.

That could explain why he was so hostile towards me.

And then there's these old men, the Patriach and the Grand Elder.

They keep coming to check on me uninvited.

For instance, there they stand right now on the roof of one of the rooms in my courtyard looking at me.

Concealing their presence and thinking I don't see them.

"Ugghh it's so annoying, I can't concentrate." I grumble.

"Hmmm her ki circulation seems to be extremely good, I wonder where she learnt it from?" The Grand Elder wonders.

"Maybe it came to her naturally along with the Poison Unity Body?" The Patriarch somewhat replies.

They keep murmuring between themselves for a while.

"Ugghhh!! Don't you guys understand what's called a woman's privacy!?" I suddenly yell out of my room at them in annoyance.

"Ohhh? she finally caught us?" The Grand Elder questions.

"Though we weren't completely hiding our presence, has her ki sense risen to that level so quickly? It's only been two weeks since she activated her dantian." The Patriarch says.

"Quickly, let's go, before she gets more annoyed." The Grand Elder says to the Patriarch.

"Yes, yes, let's go." The Patriarch replies as the quickly scurry out.

"Ugh! Damn annoying pests, aren't they supposed to be the most busy? Where do they get all this spare time from?" I ask in annoyance.

I'd have left this place if not for the benefits I get from staying here.

"Ohhh, I'm hungry." I say as my stomach grumbles.

"I'll go eat lunch at the canteen." I say as I put on some clothes, a leather hand glove and head out.

Walking through, the eyes of the people were on me and I heard them whisper amongst themselves;

"Ohh it's Dang Ki So.."

"Its 'Dang So' now, don't let her hear you."

"Look at her go, all proud and pumpous."

"Why is she always still coming to this area though? to show off?"

I say nothing as I silently pass through.
