Seraphina's POV
I stood in the doorway, my heart hammering against my ribs. The triplets stared back at me, their expressions a mix of shock and pain. Lord Caspian had just left, dropping his bombshell about my father before sweeping out like the villain in some tragic play.
"I'm leaving," I announced, my voice steadier than I expected.
Kaelen's jaw tightened. Ronan's eyes widened. Orion's shoulders slumped slightly.
"When?" Kaelen asked after a moment of tense silence.
"Now. Tonight."
I'd expected them to argue, to fight for me to stay. Their quiet acceptance stung worse than any protest.
"Where will you go?" Orion asked softly.
I wrapped my arms around myself. "My mother's old pack. They have no Alpha now, but they might take me in."
Louis scoffed. "That's your plan? Run to a dying pack with no protection?"
"Better than staying where I'm not wanted," I shot back.
"Not wanted?" Kaelen's voice rose. "Is that what you think?"
