## Kaelen's POV
Time stood still as we waited outside the dressing room, the sound of rustling fabric behind the door the only thing breaking the heavy silence. Ronan paced nervously while Orion leaned against the wall, feigning disinterest though his eyes never left the door.
"She's taking forever," Orion muttered.
I crossed my arms. "Give her time."
The dress had been my idea—midnight blue like the night sky, with tiny crystals sewn into the bodice that would shine like stars when she moved. I'd remembered her fascination with the night sky from when we were young, how she used to drag me outside to stare at the constellations.
The door finally clicked open. Seraphina stepped out.
My breath caught in my throat.
The dress hugged her curves perfectly before flowing down in a graceful cascade. The midnight blue fabric made her skin glow and her eyes shine like sapphires. Her blonde hair hung in loose waves around her shoulders.
