Rin, grinning, whispered, "Ah, yes, the scenic route to rejection."

Rin froze.

Taila cracked her neck. "I say we test him."
Reacher grinned.

The night ended with a three-way spar. Taila burnt a tree. Reacher dodged reality. Rin hit himself in the face. Twice.
And Bai Lu?
She didn't laugh.
But she smiled.
