Mondstadt City.
Knights of Favonius, Acting Grand Master's Office.
Jean was seated at her desk, reviewing the report for this year's Dragonspine winter camp.
After signing the report, she stood up and addressed Eula and Amber.
"Thank you both for your hard work. Take a few days off to relax."
Eula stretched lazily. "Finally, I can enjoy a proper drink. Amber, you coming?"
"Even though I'm not big on drinking, I'll keep you company."
Jean pulled a letter from her drawer. "If you're going drinking, this place might be a good choice."
"What's this?" Amber took the letter curiously and opened it.
It was an invitation from Mu Yang, announcing the grand opening of his tavern, as he'd promised back at Windrise.
Eula teased, "Jean, why don't you take a few days off and come with us?"
"I'll pass. The Knights have a lot of work to handle. Just send my and Lisa's regards when you get there."
Eula didn't press further. She knew Jean's personality—getting her to rest would probably take the Anemo Archon himself showing up…
The player event began.
On Lumine's side, after parting ways with Albedo at the alchemy workbench, she was stopped by Miss Katheryne.
Mu Yang, of course, wouldn't send a letter to Dragonspine; he sent it to the Adventurers' Guild instead.
Paimon rested her chin in her hand. "I can't believe that guy Mu Yang actually bought [Three Bowls Won't Cross the Harbor]. Does that mean we can eat for free from now on?!"
Lumine, teary-eyed, said, "Does this mean I can finally drink real alcohol in this world?"
"But I've got a bad feeling about this."
Paimon asked, "What do you mean?"
"Before we get to drink, we'll probably have to work for Mu Yang…"
"Hehe, as expected of Teyvat's top adventurers," Katheryne said with a smile nearby. "The message has been delivered, so I'll head back now."
["This is the awareness of Teyvat's ultimate worker!"]
["Lumine's even learned to steal the punchline!"]
["Doesn't that just prove your aim is sharp?"]
["Got a problem? Just stick it on the Traveler's head, and the famous Traveler will solve it!"]
["Or solve the person who brought up the problem (lol)."]
Right after Katheryne left, a fiery red bundle of cuteness ran over and hugged Lumine.
"Honorary Knight Big Sis, and Paimon!"
"Little Klee, what's got you so excited?" Lumine patted her head, asking.
She could tell Klee was absolutely thrilled.
"Because Acting Grand Master Jean agreed to let Klee go on a big adventure in Liyue!"
"But I can't bring Dodoco, only Dudu."
Klee stepped out of Lumine's embrace, turned around, and showed her empty backpack, looking aggrieved.
Paimon was shocked. What was Jean thinking?
Letting Klee go on a big adventure to Liyue alone, and without her bombs?!
"So it's you guys! No wonder Klee suddenly ran so fast."
"Amber, and Eula?"
After their explanation, Lumine understood.
After returning from Dragonspine, Jean had given Amber and Eula some time off.
They'd also received Mu Yang's invitation and ran into Klee on their way out.
After Klee's repeated assurances, Jean confiscated all the bombs in her backpack before agreeing to let her go to Liyue.
["It's okay, Klee, you can make a few more on the way!"]
["Big Bro Yang: Thanks a lot, pal."]
["Mu Yang's probably sweating buckets right now—my newly renovated shop!"]
The group traveled together to Chihu Rock.
"Wow, this house is so big and pretty!" Klee was awestruck by the grand Liyue-style architecture.
Paimon, much calmer, said, "Knowing it's Mu Yang's shop, I'm not even surprised anymore."
Lumine shrugged. "I got used to it ages ago…"
Eula whispered to Amber, "That guy's that rich?"
Amber gave her a look that said, "You're asking me? How would I know?" then turned to Lumine.
"Since we're here, let's head inside."
The group entered [Three Bowls Won't Cross the Harbor].
"Where's Mu Yang?"
"No idea. He should know we're coming, right?"
Eula flipped through the menu, full of hard liquor and bar snacks—hardly anything suitable for the others present.
"This tavern is legit…"
She was in a bit of a bind, unsure what to order for Klee.
At that moment, Zhiruo approached. "Miss Lumine, the boss is on the second floor. I'll take you up."
This was the benefit of Mu Yang's strict employee selection.
The first-floor staff could tell these guests weren't here for hard liquor and immediately called for Zhiruo.
"This way, please."
Since the server recognized them, Mu Yang must have given prior instructions.
Lumine and the others followed closely.
They took the employee passage, which led straight to the bar counter upstairs.
Mu Yang was focused on mixing drinks at the time.
Little Gui was practically buzzing with excitement at the full-screen image.
"A serious man is just too handsome. The screen's so dirty—lick, lick!"
["Streamer, turn off your camera, it's blocking my view of Mu Yang!"]
["Flipping the script, huh?"]
["Little Gui, move your camera a bit, I'm almost done!"]
"Hold it right there!"
Little Gui enlarged her avatar to cover the game screen, banning the chat from "defiling" her husband!
Mu Yang finished mixing the drink and handed it to the customer who ordered.
Only then did he turn to Lumine. "Sorry, I was a bit busy just now."
"No worries. Need any help?"
"Not for now. The rush hour's over, so it's all good."
Lumine continued, "If you get overwhelmed, just call me. Don't push yourself too hard alone."
Mu Yang nodded. "Got it."
"Hey, Mu Yang, we're here!" Amber waved enthusiastically.
Eula, arms crossed, said, "Don't interrupt them, Amber. Once he's done chatting with Lumine, he'll notice the four of us waiting."
"Four?" Mu Yang feigned surprise.
Little Klee peeked out from behind Eula.
"Hehe, Klee's here too! Hi, big brother! Are you Honorary Knight Big Sis's good friend?"
"Yep, Klee, his name's Mu Yang," Lumine said, lifting Klee onto a stool.
The others took their seats as well.
During their casual chat, Eula couldn't help but complain.
"Did you name these drinks on purpose? I have no idea what to order. This grudge, I'll remember it."
"For Miss Eula, I recommend [Ice Palace]."
Klee raised her hand. "What about Klee? Can Klee have something?"
"For Klee, try [Sweet Fruit Wine Lake]. It's juice mixed with milk—Acting Grand Master Jean shouldn't have any complaints."
Klee beamed. "Yay!"
In the end, Mu Yang recommended a crafted drink for each of them.
Eula took a sip and fell silent, effortlessly won over by Mu Yang's skill. No more tough talk from her.
Amber said it felt like leaning against a big tree with a breeze blowing, reminding her of her early days as a Scout Knight.
["Sure it's not the day your gliding license got revoked?"]
"It's sweet! Klee loves it!"
Paimon, after finishing hers, only said, "Another one!" Clearly, she'd been spoiled rotten.
Lumine, taking advantage of the quieter moment, slipped behind the counter to ask Mu Yang how he made the drinks.
Then she practiced on Paimon.
Paimon was all in, never refusing.
Mainly because Lumine was a genius.
She picked it up instantly, and her creations were never bad—how could Paimon say no?
"Some cake would be nice, hehe, burp~"
