Mira's heart skipped.
"What daddy?" she nervously asked.
"The good man that came to pick me up today. Can he be my daddy?" his innocent voice requested.
Mira felt a surge of relief wash through her.
She sighed.
"Baby...he is not your daddy," she explained, whispering so Sienna wouldn't hear what she was saying.
She felt the disappointment in his voice.
"But I want him to be my daddy," he argued.
"We'll talk about this later baby," she said.
Eli giggled.
"When are you coming home?" he queried
"In 30 minutes baby," she said.
Mira hung up, her palm in her forehead as she breathed slightly from her mouth. Sienna stared at her confused.
"Is there a problem dear?" she questioned.
"Nothing really...just some family stuff," she answered.
"If you say so," Sienna said, picking her luxurious bag from the table. She opens it slowly, making extra effort to intimidate Mira.
"Mira, here is my card...give me a call and let's hang out and catch up on all the lost times we have missed. I need to know many things about your life. I have a shoot to attend today. Catch you later," she added
Mira collected the card and smiled. She stared at the professional looking card which had broad letters written on it.
"I definitely would hit you up during one of my free days," Mira promised, engulfing her in a near hug.
Sienna stared at her weirdly before turning around to leave.

The sound of Eli's little feet running to embrace Mira put a smile on her face. She grabbed the little boy and examined his body sharply.
"Are you hurt anywhere?" she asked
Eli giggled.
"No mum. I am fine. I had so much fun today," he delightfully stated
Mira feigned amusement. "You did? Tell me all about it," she said and dropped him on the floor.
"Go upstairs and wait for me in my room. You'll tell me everything you did today," she added.
Little Eli smiled happily and ran up the stairs. Once he was out of earshot, she turned to face Reyna, who had come in earlier to welcome her.
"What were you thinking?" she asked, her voice a little stern
Reyna clutched her scarf a little tightly, obviously a little scared.
"The boss said he got your permission to take Eli out, and since he's the boss, I saw no reason for him to lie," she explained.
Mira scoffed.
"Reyna, the last time I checked, you have given birth, yeah?" Mira began
"Affirmative ma'am," she answered
"What would you do if someone took your baby out without your permission? Would you have liked it?" Mira interrogated.
"Sorry ma'am. I really thought he took permission from you," she tried defending herself.
"I mean, even if he did take permission from me, you should have at least called to confirm first from me," Mira continued.
Reyna bowed her head slowly.
"I'm really sorry ma'am," she apologized.
Mira sighed and smiled softly, touching Reyna's head playfully.
"It's fine. I'm just saying be careful next time," Mira said.
"Ok, ma'am," she lightened up.
"And I've told you to stop with the ma'am. It's Mira," she said and turned up the stairs.

Mira walks into Thane's office, her face red with fury. She slammed her fist into his table, getting little or no reaction from him. He looked up for a few seconds before looking down at his laptop again.
"Why would you take my son out without my permission or prior notice," she asked, her voice laced with anger.
"The little boy obviously needs a good time since his mother doesn't have enough time to take him out. I decided to show him around San Francisco for a bit," he replied coldly, his voice without remorse.
"And what gives you the right?" she asked.
"Well, maybe because he needs it," he answered.
Mira scoffed. She couldn't believe he could have the guts to do what he pleased with her child. She knew he could get whatsoever he wanted, but she didn't want him to have control over her child.
"Stay away from Eli," she warned.
"Ok. You have to chill. It's not like I am hurting an innocent child," he smirked.
"Don't give me that smile. Please don't make my life harder than it already is. Allow me focus on what I came to do in San Francisco and I'll be on my way back home," she said.
Thane felt a little pain on his chest at the mention of her going home. He couldn't imagine not seeing the little boy anymore. He just hoped Gabriel would bring the news he was hoping for. That way, he could be sure to stay with Eli.
"Well, I don't expect you to stay here after the project. I'm just saying, allow the little boy to live a little," he said.
"I can take care of my son and take him out at my own will. I don't need a stranger doing stuff for me," she commented.
"But I am not a stranger," he argued.
"Well...in case you forgot, you're my ex husband and technically a stranger. Get it?" she said, tilting her head.
Thane winced in a pained grin which only lasted for a millisecond, without Mira noticing.
"Fine then, we'll see how that goes," he said and continued punching keys on his computer
Mira scoffed and the sound of her heels retreating from the office could be heard. Thane didn't bother to look at the beautiful woman walking out of his office scared that she might notice him staring.
He had been trying hard not to notice her body changes, but had failed. Compared to the thin and unattractive woman he had married, the new Mira that had shown up in front of him was hella attractive. She had curves settled in the right body areas with full breasts. Her long auburn and silky hair settled in her waist region, making her look much younger. Her pale skin glistened in the light.
Just then, Gabriel burst into the room, his expression frantic. Thane looked up, his face expectant.
"So?" he queried.
"He's yours," Gabriel said.
