Chapter 3 - Shock The Board! Who Pointed Out Ruby?

Arthur and Ruby got into the car and headed to New Villa.

Ruby usually lived here, in a four-story villa.

After getting in the car, Ruby quickly messaged her secretary.

"Check Softix Energy's recent cooperation intentions."

Secretary Nina replied in seconds:

"Understood, President Ruby."

Ruby put down her phone.

Arthur asked, "I was in the middle of my beauty sleep—you better give me an explanation."

"Explain what?"

"Who's your boyfriend?"

"Not a boyfriend."

"Then why are you wearing someone else's clothes?"

Ruby covered her forehead and fell silent for a moment. She wasn't about to explain. Turning into a cat? No one would believe that—even she barely believed it.

Thank goodness she turned back.

Arthur, seeing Ruby didn't speak, got even more curious. "Is he handsome? What's his personality like?"

"Drive the car."

"Yes, President Ruby."

Arthur was curious, but Ruby was always dignified as the company president.

Soon, Ruby got home.

Nina's investigation results were already in.

And the findings were exactly the same as what Negan had said.

After reviewing the report, Nina was shocked."President Ruby, we currently hold 17 million shares of Dot Energy, this…"

"You're incredible, President Ruby. If it weren't for your foresight, our company would've taken a massive loss this time."

In the domestic stock market, daily fluctuations are usually limited to 10%.

But for high-tech stocks, the daily cap can go up to 20%.

Dot Energy had become a thunderbolt stock.

It was about to explode.

One day could mean nearly £3.4 million in losses!

Even though Link Financial Group was well-funded, a £3.4 million loss would still sting.

Worse yet, according to the original strategy, the company was planning to increase its stake in Dot Energy.

The more they bought, the more they would lose!

Nina admired Ruby immensely.

No one else saw the issue.

But she did!

Ruby, on the other hand, was in shock.

Because she knew—

It wasn't her who discovered the problem.

It was Negan.

Negan had gathered all the information and laid out a perfect macro picture!

Was there really such a genius… in her company?

Arthur looked at Ruby's expression and asked, "What's wrong?"

Ruby shook her head. "Nothing."

"You can go home now."

Arthur sighed, "I'm just a tool to be discarded when used up."

"I'll head to the office for a meeting. If you're interested, come along."

"Goodbye."

Arthur's family was also wealthy, but she had zero interest in managing a business. She turned around and left.

Ten minutes later, the chauffeur arrived.

At 7:30 AM, Ruby arrived at the company.

She summoned all directors for an emergency meeting.

Link Financial had 17 directors in total.

Many directors didn't come to work regularly. Some were still half-asleep, annoyed by the early summons.

At the 35th-floor conference room, Ruby announced:"The company will dump all shares of Dot Energy."

All the directors were stunned.

"What? Why all of a sudden?"

"This is a goldmine—we stand to earn over £7 million!"

"President Ruby, this doesn't seem like a sound decision."

Dot Group, founded by the Ruby family, still controlled the majority of the equity.

Though Ruby was young, her authority in the company was real.

Still, many directors were unhappy with her decision.

Ruby replied calmly, "Someone told me that Dot Energy's stock price will drop."

"Who's the moron that said that?"

One hot-tempered director immediately snapped.

They gave Ruby respect—but anyone else? Not a chance.

Ruby slammed her palm on the table and glared coldly."Apologize."

The director paused, then insisted, "I wasn't insulting you—I meant whoever made that call."

"This is financial suicide! You want us to lose money?!"

Ruby asked, "What if he's right?"

"There's no way."

Ruby looked at Nina.

Nina immediately distributed a set of documents to all the directors.

"Softix Energy holds a key patent, and a lawsuit is imminent."

"Please review the material. Then decide whether we should sell."

All the directors frowned and began reading.

Ten minutes passed.

Every director looked stunned.

"Who compiled this? It's incredible."

"How did they connect so many scattered clues?"

"This guy is sharp. We really should sell."

All Link directors held advanced degrees in finance—no amateurs here.

After reading the material, the answer was obvious.

Ruby turned to the director who had cursed earlier."Apologize."

"…I'm sorry."

Ruby stood tall."Then it's settled. The resolution is passed. Begin gradual liquidation this year."

"Meeting adjourned."

As she turned to leave—

"President Ruby, wait!"

"Can you tell us… where did this intel come from?"

Nina also stared at Ruby, full of curiosity.

She'd assumed Ruby was the mastermind.

But clearly, someone else had tipped her off!

That person—was incredible!

Who was it?
