It seemed like a couple of hours had passed, and in that time, Raelis leisurely played around with his knives, waiting for Isabel to wake up.
And as he was starting to grow bored, she suddenly opened her eyes.
They were no longer crimson, and instead, they were a deep shade of blue.
For a moment, Raelis was confused, but her eyesight soon returned to crimson once again.
And with it, she finally spoke.
"I see you're being targeted by quite the troublesome people," Isabel remarked with a giggle.
"Do you know who they are?" Raelis asked right away.
"Of course I do. I just saw his memories. I know all about that stunt you had performed," Isabel replied. "Rather, it was not a stunt, but the sheer fact that you oversaw the Eternal Scribe's punishment deems you fit for execution."
Hearing that, Raelis simply stared at her in a dumbfounded manner.
"What are you even talking about?"
Sure, he knew who the Eternal Scribe was. He had heard it from Baron Ingram himself only a week ago.
