"Oho?" Arius raised a brow. "Those are some interesting choices, especially you, Mathieu. You stuck to your ideals. I'm proud of you."
It seemed like Mathieu had picked out some sort of monocle, which had a slight crack in the glass.
But since it was an item in the Vault, that meant it was valuable, and clearly, from the headmaster's reaction, it was even better than Raelis thought.
"The Monocle of Truth. You can tell whenever someone is lying with 100% accuracy. Since you plan to become a merchant, you won't be getting fooled anymore. But do swing by my office later. I will fix the glass for you. Apologies," Arius said sincerely.
A faint smile appeared on Mathieu's face as he nodded. "Thank you, Headmaster."
With that, the headmaster moved on to Clea, who had made some questionable choices.
