[Dylan]
I left to get Gamma when I realized that Declan would not leave Avira's side.I didn't want to leave her either, but someone had to move. Someone had to act. And right now, Declan could only feel.
So I ran as fast as my human feet could carry me, to the throne room.
The throne room was filled with confused murmuring when I got there. Every pack member was still inside, eyes fixed on the doors we had stormed out through moments earlier.
Every last one of them had his eyes squinted and his forehead burrowed in confusion, probably wondering why Declan and I had stormed out of the room right in the middle of a ceremony that is regarded sacred.
They were waiting for us to return and complete the coronation, waiting for their new Luna to be coronated, waiting for a proper celebration.
But none of that mattered. Not when Avira had collapsed somewhere in the cold
I ignored every stare, every whisper, and pushed forward through the crowd, heading for Gamma.
