[Dylan]
I left my father's room, and headed for mine, feeling disappointed. I couldn't believe that the pack's law would rather watch a dying person for a few days before administering treatment instead of doing so right away. I had visited my father because of Avira, hoping that there would be a rite or something to be done about her present condition.
But my father had made it clear that treatment cannot be administered to her before three days even though I felt as much pain as she did. Or that I might die as well if she dies.
Although it was tradition, and was handed down from past generations, I felt betrayed. Tradition or not, life is precious, and everything should be done to preserve it. But here, my father is willing to risk Avira's life and mine all because some unrefined tradition says so.
Damn tradition!
