Late at night, jazzy and bluesy music provided a background soundtrack. A low hum of conversation and laughter filled the air, and the bar's warm, dim light created a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
A few people were having drinks at another table, seemingly having a good time. However, Nathan was sitting calmly at a corner of the counter, nursing a glass of vodka that was almost empty.
He checked his watch and realized that fifteen minutes had already passed. He was considering whether or not to go home, since the person he was waiting for was nowhere to be seen.
He groaned, irritated and disappointed, thinking that maybe his original plan wouldn't work.
And as he was about to leave, someone suddenly sat down next to him. He didn't care to look his way and directly asked the bartender to prepare him a Martini.
Only after receiving his drink did the person, in an annoyed mood, start talking to Nathan, who was already asking for his second drink.
