Chapter 26 - Chapter 1

Volume Two

Chapter One: The Game Resets

The city's heartbeat pulsed with sirens and neon as dusk bled into night. Somewhere between the gridlocked avenues of Manhattan and the shadowed alleys of Boston, a new game began.

INT. NEW YORK – CENTRAL PARK – NIGHT

A festival crowd shimmered beneath strings of lights. Laughter and music echoed—until the power flickered. In the momentary blackout, a child's scream pierced the air. When the lights returned, a young girl was gone. Panic rippled through the crowd.

INT. BOSTON – RIZZOLI & ISLES SQUAD ROOM – NIGHT

Jane Rizzoli's phone buzzed. The caller ID was blank. She answered, bracing for trouble.

A distorted voice whispered, "Two hours. Find the lost one, or the game resets."

Jane's eyes narrowed. "Who is this?"

The line went dead.

INT. NYPD – SVU SQUAD ROOM – NIGHT

Olivia Benson stood before a wall of surveillance feeds. The images glitched, faces warping and timestamps jumping. Fin and Amanda watched anxiously as Olivia replayed the festival footage. The missing girl's face blurred, then vanished entirely from the video.

Olivia's phone rang. A synthesized voice: "Detective Benson. The Eye sees all. Trust no badge."

INT. LAS VEGAS – CSI LAB – NIGHT

Sara Sidle and Nick Stokes examined a blood-stained note found at a crime scene. The message, scrawled in red: "Trust no badge. The princess is in play."

Sara frowned. "This isn't just a threat. It's a signature."

INT. WASHINGTON D.C. – LIE TO ME GROUP – NIGHT

Dr. Cal Lightman studied a live video feed sent anonymously. A terrified woman blinked Morse code: H-E-L-P. Gillian Foster gasped. "She's signaling us."

Lightman's eyes narrowed. "She's not just scared—she's trying to warn us about someone on the inside."

INT. CHICAGO – POLICE HQ – NIGHT

Hank Voight reviewed a list of missing persons, all with duplicate IDs. Each case was marked with a symbol: a lotus, half in shadow.

Voight slammed his fist on the desk. "This is bigger than trafficking. Someone's rewriting the rules."

INT. SVU HQ – WAR ROOM – NIGHT

A hastily assembled team filled the room: Olivia Benson, Jane Rizzoli, Maura Isles, Hank Voight, Sara Sidle, Nick Stokes, Cal Lightman, and Robyn McCall. Screens displayed the same message:

"The princess is in play. Two hours. Find the lost one, or the game resets.

The Eye is watching.

— Six"

Olivia took command. "This is a coordinated attack. Whoever's behind this has resources—and our playbook."

Rizzoli bristled. "They want us to fight each other, not the real enemy."

Maura scanned the evidence. "The lotus symbol appears in every case file. It's a signature, a challenge."

Lightman added, "And the Morse code? She's telling us not to trust law enforcement—someone on the inside is compromised."

Voight growled, "Then we work outside the system."

A tense silence fell. Each detective felt the weight of the challenge—the missing girl, the taunting clues, the threat of betrayal from within.

Olivia's voice was steady. "We have two hours. Let's show them what happens when the best come together."

EXT. CITY STREETS – NIGHT

The team split up—following leads, chasing shadows, racing against the clock. Sirens wailed. Footsteps echoed in alleyways. The city itself seemed to hold its breath.

The game had reset. The hunt had begun.
