Chapter 16

In the Crosshairs

INT. SVU HEADQUARTERS – WAR ROOM – NIGHT

The atmosphere was charged with urgency. Olivia Benson stood at the center of the war room, surrounded by her team and their allies from Chicago PD, The Equalizer, Bones, and Criminal Minds. The evidence from Sunstreet's archive lay spread across the table—files, photographs, recordings, and detailed logs of The Eye's operations.

"We have everything we need to bring down the core network," Olivia said, her voice steady but resolute. "But they know we're coming. They're preparing to fight back."

Voight slammed his fist on the table. "Let them come. We're ready."

Reid's fingers flew over his laptop keyboard, decrypting intercepted communications. "They're mobilizing operatives nationwide. We're in their crosshairs."

INT. SAFE HOUSE – NIGHT

Maeve Donovan sat quietly, the weight of the impending storm pressing down on her. Barbara Sanders stood nearby, eyes sharp and watchful.

"They're closing in," Barbara said. "We need to move you—now."

Maeve nodded. "No time to waste."

EXT. CITY STREETS – NIGHT

The team moved swiftly through the city, coordinating raids and securing key locations. McCall led a small unit through a maze of alleyways, taking out armed guards with precision and silence.

Rollins and Fin secured a perimeter around a suspected safe house. "We're not letting anyone slip away tonight," Rollins said firmly.

INT. UNDERGROUND FACILITY – NIGHT

Jonathan Reid paced nervously, surrounded by armed guards and monitors displaying live feeds of the city. His face was pale but determined.

"They think they can stop us," he muttered. "But The Eye is eternal."

A voice crackled over the radio. "Target is moving. Prepare for extraction."

INT. SVU HEADQUARTERS – WAR ROOM – LATER

Olivia's phone buzzed. She answered quickly.

"Liv, it's Rollins," came the voice. "We've secured the safe house. No sign of Reid or Sunstreet."

Olivia's jaw tightened. "Keep searching. They're out there."

She looked around the room at her team—tired, but unyielding.

"We're in the final stretch," she said. "Stay sharp. Stay together."
