Chapter 3 - 1.2

Alexina POV.

"Oh my- you managed that spell?"

"Yes. That's what I just said,"

"Alexina? What do you think?" I turned my head to the direction of Malin and Abigail.

Malin is actually a sorceress and a lot a nicer than what I expected. Her and Abigail are both lovely.

"Erm, I think its great," I smiled before standing up and heading to my room.

I have to say, the academy really do go all out. My bedroom is red, clearly they got the fire element right. Everything had already been set up for me. My bed was next to the window while my wardrobe, desk and TV are all against the wall opposite.

As I sat down on the bed, I pulled out my vibrating phone from my pocket and saw Billy's name on the screen.

"Hey Lexi,"

"What's up Billy?"

"There is a party tonight, like a new academy year."

"Okay?"

"Well are you coming?"

"Sure-"

"YES! GUYS SHE SAID YES!"

"Jheez, you sound like you've just proposed,"

"Shush! Anyway. Be ready at nine."

"Bye Billy."

Ending the phone call, I threw my phone onto the bed. Taking a deep breath I opened my bedroom door and leamed against it.

I have to make friends somehow.

"Whats up Lexi?" Malin smiled as she turned her head from the current conversation she was having with Abigail.

"Are you guys going to the party tonight?" I smiled and looks of disappointment appeared on their faces.

"We don't get invited to parties," Abigail mumbled and I raised my eyebrows and frowned.

"Why not?" I asked.

"People think we're weirdo's," Malin whispered and I nodded my head, my lips pursing together.

I feel bad for them. I mean, I haven't known them for long but they seem lovely. I don't understand why people see the need to make others feel inferior.

I don't like bullies.

"Would it make a difference if I went?" I asked both girls.

"Sorry Alexina, no," Malin gulped and I smiled softly at her before pulling out my phone and finding Billy's name.

"What are you doing?" Abigail asked but I ignored her while messaging Billy.

Me: hey, won't be going to the party. Changed my mind

Billy: What!? Why?

Me: I should really get to know the girls a little. Have fun though Billy

Billy: But you're the party queen! You can't do this

Me: Get over it. My apartment is going to be locked. I'm taking the girls out to have fun. We will be at TIGHT if you need me.

Billy: okay party pooper

"So... what do you guys usually do instead of attending parties?" I asked as I sat down on the couch, a grin forming on my face.

"We usually just order food in, watch movies, listen to music..." Malin trailed off and I nodded my head as I twirled my phone around in my hand.

"What do you usually do?" Abigail asked and I pursed my lips together.

"Well... I usually go to parties but if not. I always end up going to a bar."

"A bar?" Malin laughed. "As in a human bar?" She asked in disbelief and I nodded my head.

"Believe it or not, human bars have some of the most beautiful yet deadly supernatural creatures." I stood up and held my hands out to both girls. "Human bars are popular among our kind because they're fun, intoxicating and we get in for free," I grinned before pulling both girls up and dragging them both into my room.

Throwing outfits and shoes at both girls they threw me weird looks and I rolled my eyes at them.

"We never go parties," Malin sighed and I raised an eyebrow at her.

"Who said anything about a party?" I laughed as I pulled out an outfit for myself.

"Alexina- what-"

"I'm taking you to a bar."

-----

Walking along the street, Malin and Abigail admired the lights.

Knowing I have to be careful and take it one step at a time with this because they have never been in the human world before, bars are the best place to start.

"This is amazing," Abigail laughed in amazement as I pointed towards the bar.

Outside its lights are lit up in gold with the words TIGHT across the front, people are queuing up and I nodded my head at the guard against the door.

Unhooking the rope from its hook, the guard allowed me, Abigail and Malin into bar.

Its swarming with humans. While I know there are people like us here, you can't sense them because of the overload of mortals here.

Malin and Abigail remain amazed by what they're witnessing and I signalled the bartender to pass me three of my usual drinks.

Nobody here knows I'm an elemental, its a human bar but I'm a regular so they know me oh so well.

"This is crazy, I can't believe we're doing this," Malin beamed as she sipped her drink, spitting it out instantly.

"What-"

"I've never had alcohol before," she looked down at the floor and I took the drink off her and placed it down. "I didn't want to seem boring."

"Malin. I don't care if you drink alcohol or not." I smiled and Abigail placed her drink on the side too, smiling sheepishly. "I want you guys to have a laugh and be comfortable. This isn't the academy, the people here won't judge you. I'm not going to make you guys change in order to feel good around me." I smiled before leading them over to the corner where most of the supernatural sit.

Smiling at the usual regulars I see here, they all stood up ready to give me a hug.

As usual, my good friend Milani was swormed with men and my other friend Will was rolling his eyes.

Milani is a Siren, the girl is gorgeous, loves attention, has the singing voice of an angel but don't be nasty to her, the Siren will come out and she will most likely murder you. Will has super sense, meaning he can sense or feel anything. He is the type of guy you don't want to lie to.

"Milani, Will," I greeted them both and they stood up smiling. "This is Malin and Abigail. Be nice, they're new to this," I warned and they both encouraged handshakes and hugs before sitting down.

"So..." Will smiled. "You're the sorceress," he pointed to Malin. "And you're a witch," Will threw me a weird look before beaming. "You're a Fredrickson?" He asked Abigail who nodded her head. "She is a nice one," Will informed me and I nodded my head at him.

Milani engaged in conversation with Malin before turning her head to me. Confusion filling her features.

"Where are the other three idiots?" She questioned and I gulped down my drink.

"Some party," I shrugged.

"Well it must have been shit because they're right there with three other guys," Milani nodded her head in the direction of the bar.

Its true, they are here and they're with three guys.

"Who are they?" I asked and Abigail rolled her eyes.

"Lucian Zinapoli. He is a wizard. Absolute idiot. Rude, boring and a bully." She pointed to a tall skinny boy with black hair that fell just above his ears, the boy has a jawline sharper than a knife.

Taking it from her attitude, he is one of her bullies.

"TJ Millerson. A healer. That boy is thicker than a brick. He is funny but an idiot." Malin pointed to a tall Asian boy, big brown eyes and a head full of brown hair, gorgeous muscular body-

Who the hell is that next to him?

My oh my I'm going to faint.

Tall, brunette, blue eyes, muscles bigger than my head, not to mention his pearly white fangs.

My heavens.

"Who is that?" I asked Malin and I swear I heard her growl.

"Grayson Melvin. Vampire. Most popular guy in the academy. Rude, self-absorbed and a bully."

Well my opinion of him has now changed.

"Is he now?"

"What's it to you?" A deep voice perked up and I turned around to see who it was.

Much to my displeasure, its Grayson himself.
