Chapter 215 - Chapter 217: Hermione's Suspicions

Monday morning's first class was Potions.

This class naturally went without saying. Sean performed flawlessly and became Snape's point-earning tool for Slytherin. After each Potions class, Snape would award Sean ten to twenty points, making the Gryffindors gnash their teeth in frustration.

Conversely, as Snape's point-deduction tool for Gryffindor, Harry's performance in this class was exceptionally poor. Because Malfoy kept pretending to be a Dementor to mock Harry, and Harry had been in an extremely bad mood recently due to his Nimbus 2000 being destroyed, he happened to encounter Malfoy, that endless, annoying pest, and immediately exploded.

The bullock's heart being used for the lesson was picked up by Harry and thrown out, hitting Malfoy directly in the face. For this, Snape seized this excellent opportunity and took the chance to deduct fifty points from Gryffindor, making Sean's eye twitch repeatedly. His Head of House was really going all out against Harry.

Fifty points. He actually managed to deduct that much.

It was fortunate that Professor McGonagall wasn't the type of professor like the Slytherin Snake King; otherwise, Gryffindor and Slytherin should prepare to join hands at the bottom with zero points together.

In one class, Slytherin gained over ten points while Gryffindor lost over fifty points, with the extra coming from Neville.

After the first class ended, a world where only Gryffindor was hurt had been achieved.

After lunch, the first afternoon class was Defense Against the Dark Arts. The desperate Gryffindors, who had expected Snape to substitute again, suddenly saw the pale-faced, obviously haggard-looking Lupin standing in the classroom. The Gryffindor students almost wanted to celebrate, except for Hermione, whose expression was unclear.

Sean saw all these things, but currently he had no time to care about or participate in them. His mind was now entirely focused on studying and research. Currently, Sean had massive amounts of study content and research projects in Potions, Transfiguration, and Alchemy. These alone had already occupied all of Sean's Time-Turner time, leaving him no extra energy to handle these matters.

It's just that sometimes, when people come to you, Sean couldn't possibly pretend he didn't see or hear them. He still had to handle interpersonal relationships somewhat.

"Sean, can I talk to you?"

Ever since the first and second years, when Sean dealt with Quirrell and the basilisk, not only Harry but also Ron and Hermione had developed complete trust in Sean. Whenever they encountered matters inconvenient to discuss with professors, the first person they often thought of was Sean.

Sean had actually realized this point. Looking at Hermione standing before him, he nodded slightly: "Let's go talk over there. There are too many people coming and going here, and what you want to discuss might not be suitable to say here."

Hermione turned to look at the strange and inquiring gazes from students of her own house and others, her cheeks reddening slightly as she quickly nodded. The two walked to the end of the corridor, leaning against the window to talk.

"Sean, do you remember when Snape... when Professor Snape substituted for our Defense Against the Dark Arts class, the lesson he taught us?"

Nodding, Sean already knew what she wanted to say upon hearing this.

"I remember Professor Snape taught us how to deal with werewolves."

"Yes, exactly." Hermione pressed her lips together, hesitating as she opened her mouth to say something but momentarily didn't know how to begin.

Seeing Hermione's state, Sean sighed and said to her: "Hermione, I know what you want to say. I was the one who delivered the Wolfsbane Potion that Professor Snape brewed for Professor Lupin."

Hearing this, Hermione's eyes widened in surprise. She instinctively wanted to speak but suddenly realized her voice was too loud, so she immediately lowered it and asked Sean quietly: "But Sean, aren't you worried?"

"Worried about what? Werewolves only transform on full moon nights, and with Wolfsbane Potion, Professor Lupin can maintain his sanity. Besides, what kind of person Professor Lupin is, I think you should know better than I do. So why would you be worried and afraid? Is it just because he was turned into a werewolf and is a different species from us?"

"Of, of course not. I'm just, I'm just..."

Hermione kept saying "I'm just," but couldn't come up with any real reason.

Seeing Hermione's state, Sean spoke again: "Hermione, don't have any prejudice against Professor Lupin just because he's a werewolf. Of course, you might not be discriminating against Professor Lupin. You're just panicking because you learned he's an extremely dangerous werewolf as described in books. So I suggest you think carefully about what kind of person you think Professor Lupin is and whether you think Professor Lupin is dangerous, and then make your judgment."

Hermione looked at Sean, exhaled to calm herself down, then nodded seriously: "I understand. Thank you, Sean."

"No need to thank me. It's nothing."

"Sean, one last question. What do you think of Professor Lupin?"

"For you, Harry, and Gryffindor, he's a very good person. For me, he's also a very good professor."

"From your words, you don't seem to..."

Looking at Hermione, Sean smiled and nodded: "That's right. For me, he's not a very good person, and I don't particularly like him. But this doesn't conflict with my acknowledgment of his teaching abilities, does it?"

Hermione left, though she still carried doubts.

However, her biggest question had been answered.

Sean went directly to the library, where Blaise was already waiting.

Seeing Sean sit beside him, Blaise looked up at Madam Pince in the distance, confirming she wasn't looking their way, then lowered his head and asked Sean: "Sean, what did you and that Gryffindor know-it-all just discuss?"

Turning to look at Blaise, Sean smiled and asked back: "Blaise, are you very curious?"

"Not really curious. Just now many people were saying that Gryffindor know-it-all wanted to seduce you because you're the most outstanding one, so I was curious."

Frowning slightly, Sean said somewhat dissatisfied: "Hermione and I are friends. She had some questions she wanted to ask me, and I just gave her some answers. There's no seduction involved. Who said that...

Forget it. It's just some random rumors anyway. It doesn't matter. I don't have that much time to argue with these people."
