Chapter 178 - Chapter 180: Knockturn Alley

When Sean had previously checked his panel's detailed information, he hadn't seen any information related to spirit sight, so he knew this ability probably hadn't fully awakened yet. And from what Gavin had said, there was no way to train or enhance the spirit sight ability. He could only wait for it to awaken naturally.

However, Sean had some guesses about this spirit sight ability. It should belong to divination and precognitive-type abilities. If he could study more divination and precognitive magic, perhaps he could draw parallels and gain some promotion and inspiration for the spirit sight ability.

Of course, Sean didn't believe that Gavin and the Bulstrode family ancestors wouldn't have thought of something so simple, so he didn't hold much hope for this speculation.

Anyway, even without the spirit sight ability, Sean felt he was still quite strong.

Gavin stayed for lunch as well.

Jade's cooking skills were quite good. Of course, as good as they were, Sean still preferred his mother's apple pie. That was the taste he'd grown up with and the taste of home in his memory.

After lunch, Gavin invited Sean to come to Bulstrode Manor next Saturday with Yard and Martha. First, to meet Sean's grandmother, and second, to discuss matters related to the new mental recovery potion.

If it were just Sean himself, he probably wouldn't have agreed. He didn't have much sense of belonging to the Bulstrode family to begin with and naturally had no intention of further contact with them.

But his father clearly very much wanted to return to Bulstrode Manor, to return to his former home and see his mother. Even if it was just for his father's sake, Sean wouldn't refuse.

After Gavin left Sean's house, he finally got to live the holiday life he wanted.

Every day he would study, write his Transfiguration thesis, and research the alchemy books he'd gotten from Beauxbatons.

In his spare time from studying, he would look after his brother Caesar, go out with his parents for walks, and chat.

Everything was perfect.

"Young master, here's the hair you requested."

Sean took the hair Aldrich handed him and placed them one by one into two bottles. Watching the Polyjuice Potion in the bottles dissolve the two hairs and bubble up considerably, Sean shook the liquid slightly. When the potion returned to calm, he handed one of them to Aldrich.

"Aldrich, as soon as we get to Knockturn Alley, drink the Polyjuice Potion inside immediately."

"Yes, young master."

The two left the house, using the excuse of going to Diagon Alley to buy some holiday necessities.

Naturally, Yard and Martha wouldn't object to this. These past few days they had also learned from Sean that his grades at Hogwarts were among the very best, and he had even published two papers in the highest-level Potions journal. With such achievements, they naturally gave their full support to Sean's choices.

The two took Old John's car to the Leaky Cauldron outside Diagon Alley.

They got out and walked into the Leaky Cauldron, while Old John found a nearby place to wait for them.

Through the Leaky Cauldron into Diagon Alley, Sean and Aldrich mixed into the crowd and directly took the Polyjuice Potion Sean had prepared. Sean transformed into a down-and-out young man of about thirty with bird's nest-like hair, while Aldrich became a balding, gloomy middle-aged man in his forties.

The two removed the hoods of their cloaks and walked along a small path into Knockturn Alley.

As soon as they entered Knockturn Alley, Sean saw two dark wizards standing by the roadside, looking at them with ill intent. Ignoring them directly, Sean led Aldrich toward the depths of Knockturn Alley.

The deeper they went, the further they moved from the order created by the Ministry of Magic.

What Sean and Aldrich had transformed into using Polyjuice Potion were actually two ordinary people from their neighborhood. Sean had become a driver, while Aldrich had become a plumber.

Both were unfamiliar faces to Knockturn Alley.

The dark wizards of Knockturn Alley had long since developed their approach to such unfamiliar faces.

Generally, new faces had only two possibilities. Either they were greenhorns who knew nothing, or they were passing dragons. But out of ten such people, about nine were greenhorns, and only one was a real dragon. Taking a chance, as long as their luck wasn't too bad and they didn't encounter a dragon, they could more or less get some benefits from the greenhorns. These benefits were enough to motivate the dark wizards of Knockturn Alley to take action.

"Hey, newcomers, where are you going? I'll show you the way!"

Stopping in his tracks, Sean looked at the other party with a half-smile and said, "The people in Knockturn Alley really are warm-hearted. Too bad we don't have anything to give you... we can't afford guide fees."

"Like you said, I'm one of the few warm-hearted people in Knockturn Alley. I'll guide you for free!"

At these words, the surrounding dark wizards all became noisy. Some laughed and booed, others whistled, and still others cursed the man for being shameless.

But the dark wizard who had spoken clearly treated those people like they were farting. With a fake smile, he said to Sean and Aldrich, "You two, where do you want to go? Tell me, and I'll take you there."

As he spoke, the man had already come in front of Sean, blocking their path. He was clearly determined to cause trouble.

Looking at him, Sean said nonchalantly, "We want to go to the Black Hat Tavern. Do you know where it is?"

The moment the name "Black Hat Tavern" left Sean's mouth, half of the surrounding dark wizards who had been watching the excitement and looking for opportunities to gain some benefits for themselves immediately dispersed. The remaining half also distanced themselves from Sean and his companion, watching the situation from afar.

At this moment, the dark wizard blocking Sean and Aldrich's path immediately broke out in large drops of cold sweat on his forehead. Who in Knockturn Alley didn't know the reputation of the Black Hat Tavern?

There were always eight or nine taverns of various sizes in Knockturn Alley, and anyone who could open a tavern in Knockturn Alley was not to be trifled with. Among them, the two most dangerous taverns were called Dragon's Blood and Black Hat.

Anyone who could go to these two places was no ordinary person. In other words, the possibility that these two unfamiliar faces were passing dragons had just increased infinitely.

"S-sorry, I don't know how to get to Black Hat. I won't, won't bother you two anymore."

When encountering someone you can't afford to provoke, backing down in time isn't shameful. Those who encounter people they can't afford to provoke but still insist on saving face are the ones who are truly sick.

But now that this person wanted to leave, Sean was no longer willing to let him go.

Reaching out to grab the other's neck, he directly pressed him against the nearby wall and lifted him up. Sean looked at him with a smile like that of a wolf, tiger, or leopard seeing prey, and said, "Want to leave? That won't do!

We're new here and were just looking for someone to guide us to the Black Hat Tavern. From your expression, you should know about it, so help us out and take us there."
