Gallow dropped to the floor on both knees, bleeding from the neck.
Zayne slowly turned towards Evelyn. But she took a step back.
"Evelyn—" She took another step back as if to move away from him.
A frown emerged on his face and he quickly lowered his gaze, for the first time realizing that he'd almost shifted. He hadn't meant to, blinded only by rage that this man was just about to kill the woman he loved.
