Chapter 12 - 12

In no time, the thousands of cubic meters of beverages had completely disappeared.

Next was the fuel section.

This area stored a large quantity of smokeless coal, drum gasoline, and alcohol.

All were domestic-use items—typically stored for emergencies or outdoor trips.

There were over ten thousand crates of smokeless coal alone, not to mention solid alcohol and barrels of fuel.

The quantity here would last Zhang Ye several hundred years!

He didn't even consider leaving any behind for others. After the apocalypse, these supplies wouldn't reach the hands of ordinary people anyway.

So he didn't hesitate and stored everything.

He then used his years of warehouse experience to organize everything neatly within his spatial dimension.

That would make it much easier to access later.

Step three—he moved on to the food section.

The quantity here was even more massive—tens of thousands of tons!

Several warehouses were stacked to the ceiling, looking like small mountains.

Canned food, prepackaged roast chicken, duck, snacks, instant noodles, high-end treats…

"It's enough to feed me for ten lifetimes," Zhang Ye sighed with emotion.

He wasn't picky—he took everything he saw.

After collecting the food, Zhang Ye made his way to the sporting goods section.

Exercise equipment was essential for his safe house.

Daily workouts would keep his body strong and healthy—and in emergencies, that strength could be life-saving.

Even though the safe house had limited space, he didn't hold back on anything. His spatial dimension was infinite—he'd be a fool not to take it all.

There were some particularly useful items too.

Baseball bats, fencing swords—perfect weapons in close combat.

During the collecting process, Zhang Ye found even more treasures.

Snow gear and mountaineering equipment—including professional-grade cold-resistant clothing used by national athletes.

These suits could withstand temperatures as low as minus 100°C! They were cutting-edge products from the year 2050.

Zhang Ye's eyes lit up—these were the best cold-weather outfits available for surviving the Frozen Apocalypse!

He didn't hesitate and stored all several dozen sets of thermal suits and sleeping bags in his dimension.

Two full hours later, Zhang Ye had completely emptied the Walmart warehouse—over a million square meters of goods—all by himself!

After it was done, looking at the vast, empty warehouse, Zhang Ye felt a deep sense of satisfaction.

Now, even if the world froze over completely, he was confident he could live comfortably and safely.

Zhang Ye returned to his post, changed out of the gloves and shoes, and stored them in his spatial space.

Then he drank a little of the drugged tea and lay down on the table to fall into a deep sleep.

Who knows how much time passed before he was shaken awake.

"Boss, boss—something's happened! Wake up!"

Zhang Ye slowly opened his eyes and looked in confusion at the coworkers in front of him.

"What's going on?"

One of the warehouse employees, trembling, pointed toward the warehouse and said, "It's like a nightmare! Our warehouse—it's completely empty!"

"What?!"

Zhang Ye jumped to his feet in mock shock.

He rushed to the warehouse with a dramatic expression—only to find, of course, the completely empty space.

Of course, Zhang Ye knew exactly what had happened better than anyone.

But still, he staggered and said in a trembling voice, "What the hell happened? How could all the supplies be gone?!"

The other employees also looked tense and bewildered.

"Yeah, that warehouse had supplies worth at least ten billion yuan! Even if you used heavy-duty trucks, it would take days to move everything. How could it all be gone in the blink of an eye?"

As for the fact that everyone had been napping during their night shift—no one mentioned it.

After all, dozing off at night was a common practice.

Zhang Ye paced back and forth, pretending to be anxious.

Then he said to everyone, "This is too strange. We can't handle it ourselves—we need to report it to higher-ups!"

Though nervous, everyone agreed.

With such a huge incident, the responsibility couldn't possibly fall on them.

A warehouse worth ten billion yuan cleaned out in two hours? No way a few wage earners could pull that off.

They only made a few thousand yuan a month—why would they risk their lives for the company?

So when Zhang Ye suggested reporting it, they all nodded in agreement.

This mess would be someone else's problem now.

Zhang Ye immediately called the warehouse manager and reported the incident.

The manager was so shocked that he was speechless, even thinking Zhang Ye was playing a prank on him.
