Chapter 92 - Towns of Duskworn

Once again, Kiah woke up with that strange unsettling feeling threading down her spine. It wasn't fear, more like an echo, something just out of reach. For a fleeting moment, she thought she was supposed to remember something, but the harder she tried, the further it slipped away.

She sighed and dragged herself to the bathroom. The water hissed to life, steam curdling around her shoulders until her thoughts blurred into steam.

By the time she stepped out, the mirror was fogged and her mood softer, though the emptiness lingered.

She picked out a simple outfit from her wardrobe, plain to the point of dullness. It made her grimace. The dull gray fabric did little for her morale.

These clothes were lent to her by the organization. They weren't too shabby but they weren't exactly fashionable either. Thankfully, she wouldn't have to wear such battered clothes for long.
