Chapter 21 - First Meeting

A month later, Nash was on the train to Atral City.

After saying his goodbyes and preparing for anything unexpected, he set off on his journey.

Despite his first-level identification card discount, the ticket to Atral City still cost him 10,000 arls.

Nash could only wonder how much it would cost for ordinary people.

As the train began to move, it suddenly suffered a sharp tremor, sending everyone tumbling to the ground.

With an outstanding balance, Nash stood steadily, wondering if the train was under attack.

Although Earth seemed peaceful on the surface, rebels were still rampant behind the scenes.

Whether it was to earn profits or to expel the Arlean civilization from their planet, his fellow Earthlings couldn't just stay quiet.

While Nash was wondering, he felt a soft body lean against his chest.

Just as he was about to push the person away, he recognized an acquaintance—the woman who had unknowingly saved him before.

"It's you?" Nash muttered in surprise.

He didn't expect to meet this woman here, out of all places.

Hearing him mutter, the woman leaning into him looked into his eyes.

"It's you, pretty boy~" Camilla said softly, a smile in her eyes.

Although it was a long time ago, Nash's appearance had left a lasting impression on her memory.

"Pretty boy? No, you've got the wrong person."

Wanting to start a new life, Nash tightened the mask on his face and turned to leave.

Unfortunately, before he could do so, Camilla grabbed his hand.

"Let go."

"No, you can't." Camilla still smiled, but her words carried a hint of coldness.

Disregarding her words, Nash began to struggle, about to raise his foot to kick her away.

However, before he could do so, he felt a familiar energy about to crush his hand.

"Void Warrior!"

Having fought and killed two Void Warriors, Nash couldn't be more familiar with it.

"No need to struggle. It's only been a few months since I last saw you. I didn't expect you to be here."

Although Nash wore a mask and a hat that only revealed his eyes, it was enough for Camilla to recognize him.

From the beginning until now, what attracted her most were his eyes.

Looking at those deep blue eyes, like a bottomless abyss and the beautiful ocean, Camilla couldn't help but be in a good mood.

"Let go. I'm not the one you're looking for," Nash said quietly.

With a knife hanging by his neck, Nash could only reason.

Although he was able to kill Elias, that was because Elias had been injured and could barely mobilize his strength.

Based on Camilla's posture, body composition, and the look in her eyes, no matter what he did, he didn't have a chance of even escaping.

"Want to escape from me? Nice try. Come, I booked a private room on the train. I'll treat you as a guest."

Seeing he couldn't escape the clutches of this demoness, Nash could only sigh and follow her.

As for the attack on the train, it was already at the back of his mind.

Looking at Camilla, Nash couldn't help but be curious.

Why was this mysterious powerhouse going to Atral City?

---

Inside the VIP room of the train, Camilla openly locked the door.

Seeing this, Nash didn't react much.

Analyzing Camilla's expression, she didn't seem like a lustful woman. Such an action was nothing more than an attempt to scare him.

"Just tell me what you want. No need to play these games."

Although thankful that she had inadvertently saved him, Nash didn't want to get entangled with anyone.

Especially with those pretty women who brought nothing but trouble.

"Are you so impatient? It seems I saved you before. How about you thank me first?"

"Thank you for your grace." Nash bowed sincerely.

Although it was not he who was saved, but his predecessor, she still deserved his thanks.

"Good boy~ It seems you remembered me!" Camilla's eyes lit up.

"Can I go now?"

"Don't be in a hurry. Come sit."

Patting the bed, Camilla called Nash over.

Frowning, Nash didn't heed her words and just stood silent.

"Alright, seeing you're so impatient, I'll tell you what I want." Camilla rolled her eyes.

"What is it?"

"I want you to join my squad."

"No." Nash didn't hesitate.

What a joke. Why would he join something he didn't know about?

Furthermore, Nash wasn't used to any constraint or following orders.

"Don't you at least want to hear the benefits I could offer?"

"Unless you offer your body, I'll never agree," Nash said sarcastically.

Unless there were no other way, Nash would never compromise.

Of course, if Camilla were to become his woman, it would be a different matter.

By then, following her orders wouldn't be because he was a subordinate but because he was a gentleman.

"Tsk, what an ambitious man~" Camilla's smile paused, and she looked at Nash with a glint in her eyes.

Although she admired Nash's appearance, that was it.

Like a cute dog on the side of the road, she only wanted to pet it and put it on a leash.

However, once it tried to bite her, Camilla wouldn't hesitate to snap its neck.

Feeling a chill down his spine, Nash unconsciously took a step back.

"Anyway, I don't plan on joining any organization anytime soon."

"Are you sure? Atral City is different, you know."

"I think I can manage."

"Interesting~" Camilla's interest deepened.

Initially, in their first encounter, she just wanted to give shelter to this beautiful puppy.

Mobilizing the extra manpower of the Steel Bones Gang, she tried to look for him.

Unfortunately, it seemed he vanished without a trace.

Then, in the second instance, following the sudden jolt of the train, she noticed his stable breathing and calm, composed demeanor.

Thinking he was a capable subordinate, she didn't mind hiring him for her squad.

Now, in this third instance, Camilla saw something different.

These unyielding eyes, independent mind, and posture as if he was ready to fight her at any moment captured her attention.

"Can I go now?" Nash asked, not wanting to stay in this place any longer.

"Alright, you can go." Camilla nodded with a smirk.

In her mind, she had already determined to have Nash in her squad.

No matter where he went, she was ready to leash him if needed.

Feeling cold, Nash quickly left this troubling place.
