Chapter 46 - Chapter 46: She Doesn’t Like Him

Su Wanwan expressionlessly shook off Ye Nan's hand. A man like him wasn't worth even a single word.

"Wanwan, I think there's been some sort of misunderstanding between us…""I might take up a bit of your time.""Half an hour!""No… fifteen minutes. Just fifteen minutes, and I'll explain everything to you, clearly. Is that okay?"

Disgust filled Su Wanwan's gaze. She was just about to tell him to get lost when a familiar figure emerged from the doorway. A meaningful smile curved her lips, her eyes lifting slightly, adding a hint of alluring charm.

"Alright," she said. "Actually, I've always wanted to know—why did you choose Su Nian over me?"

Ye Nan was thrilled to see her smile."Then… where should we talk?""Right here is fine. I have things to do later, so I'll give you fifteen minutes."

Su Nian's steps gradually slowed until she came to a stop not far from them.

"Wanwan, I've always truly loved you," Ye Nan began, impassioned."When we were together, I once made that request to you, and you said you wanted to wait until our wedding night.""I respected that and never forced you to cross the line, right?""If I didn't love you, why would I go to such lengths?"

He grew more emotional."As for Su Nian, I admit I've done something unforgivable to you in that regard. But can't you understand me a little?""I'm a man—having certain needs is perfectly normal, isn't it?""And besides, she came on to me first!""I lost control for a moment, and that's how it happened…""Wanwan, I know I was wrong. I truly do!"

"You see, we both made mistakes. Why don't we just call it even and start over? Like two negatives making a positive—how about that?""We can go back to the way things were."

Su Nian felt her heart sink inch by inch.

"Wanwan, I really do love you, I…"

Su Wanwan cut him off. Her delicate face lit with curiosity as she tapped her crimson lips, feigning innocence.

"If we get back together, what will happen to Su Nian?" she asked sweetly."Aren't you afraid she'll be heartbroken?"

Ye Nan was momentarily speechless. But recalling Su Wanwan's breathtaking confidence just moments ago, he found his resolve again.

"She's not even worth the tip of your finger!""Besides, she seduced me in the first place. Her getting hurt has nothing to do with me!"

Hearing this, rage surged through Su Nian. She stormed forward and slapped Ye Nan hard across the face.

"Shameless! I seduced you? Ha! Ridiculous! Can't control yourself and you blame me? Spineless coward!"

She then turned to Su Wanwan, eyes blazing."And you! You shameless vixen! All you know is how to steal someone else's boyfriend!"

Onlookers began to gather, pausing to watch the drama unfold. After her earlier performance, everyone now recognized Su Wanwan. Upon hearing Su Nian's accusations, curiosity exploded.

"What's going on?""Not sure, but sounds like Su Wanwan's stealing her man?""No way…""The guy's decent looking, but is he really worth two women fighting over him?""Right? That guy on stage earlier was way more attractive."

Su Nian, hearing their chatter, added more fuel to the fire as tears streamed down her cheeks.

"Sis, I know you've always liked Brother Nan, but the one standing beside him now is me! Why would you do this to me? Why steal your own brother-in-law?"

"Wait—what? Sisters?""Oh my god, this is such juicy gossip!"

Su Wanwan replied coolly,"Relax. Even if he threw himself at me, I wouldn't want someone like him.""And let's not forget—you're the one who picked up what I threw away."

Su Nian shook her head in panic."Sis, I don't understand what you're saying…"

At that moment, a tall figure stepped out from behind the wall. In his hand was a phone playing back a recording.

"…As for Su Nian, I did have needs… but she came on to me first!"

The few short sentences laid the truth bare. Even a fool could tell this man had clearly cheated—and now regretted it, crawling back to Su Wanwan.

Su Wanwan looked at Fu Liangmu in surprise. She had no idea when he had arrived. Dressed casually and wearing a mask, he said nothing, simply wrapped an arm around her and led her away.

Once in the car, Su Wanwan asked, puzzled,"How did you get here?"

Fu Liangmu turned his head away, remaining silent.

Su Wanwan felt awkward. She rubbed her nose sheepishly."Thanks for earlier."

The air between them was heavy with suppressed emotion. As she opened her phone, the latest news notifications popped up—every platform was pushing coverage of the London piano performance. Her photos were everywhere.

She immediately understood."You saw it online and came to find me, didn't you? Sorry, I should've told you…"

Fu Liangmu cut her off coldly,"Turn left ahead."

Su Wanwan: "…"Right. He's clearly mad.

When they reached the intersection, the car came to a stop. Just as she was about to ask where they were, he said,"Get out.""Huh? Oh… okay."

She stepped out of the car. The next second, the Maybach roared off, leaving her standing alone in the wind.

What the hell? He just left her here like this?

"That guy really holds a grudge! So I kept a little secret from him—big deal…"

The more she muttered, the guiltier she felt. She tried hailing a ride, but the place was so deserted it took half an hour to get a car.

Back home, Su Wanwan headed straight for the second floor—only to be stopped by Uncle Zhang.

"Madam, perhaps you'd better not go up right now.""What's wrong with him?""I'm not sure, but the young master seems… upset. You'd best be careful.""Oh…"Alright then. Better wait until he cools down before explaining.

Uncle Zhang nodded and turned to have the kitchen prepare dinner.

"I've already eaten," Su Wanwan said quickly."But the young master hasn't.""Then I'll cook."

Volunteering cheerfully, she headed straight for the kitchen.

Perhaps due to her distraction, she accidentally cut her finger while prepping ingredients. She slapped on a band-aid carelessly, then made a bowl of zhajiang noodles and brought it upstairs.

"You must be starving. Come eat."

She placed the bowl in front of him, her face glowing with a smile.

But Fu Liangmu didn't even glance at it."I don't need it. Take it away."

"Don't be mad, okay? I know I was wrong not to tell you about the performance…"

But that wasn't what he was angry about. No, what infuriated him was—

Su Wanwan didn't like him.At all.
