In Ael'myra forest, home to Felyari, the tribe of cat kin, Tharen stood outside his hut, anxious. He spoke to his elder, "Would Selya be okay. elder ya?" The elder laughed, " Don't worry ya, she is giving birth to yar offspring, she will be okay, we catkins have extreme resilience while giving birth ya" Selya gave birth to three beautiful kittens, all healthy and adorable. They were named Nyra, Mira and Kaeli.
Tharen spoke, "They are adorable, just like you, Selya ya", " I know nya" Selya agreed, both slept in each other's embrace, looking lovingly at their kittens.
Weeks passed, by the kitten grew and were able to walk on their feet the three sisters played and jumped around wreaking havoc the catkin's usually grew up fast it was their instinct to protect themselves from danger. Soon naira gained the ability to speak and think rationally.
One day while playing with her sisters she suddenly blacked out and started behaving strangely both her sister's were worried and called their parents for help, "Papya mamya , help ny is behaving strangely nya" they cried. Theron burst forward rand ran towards their direction selya came too, They were shocked to see strange symbols written in the sand once the symbols were complete it glowed for a second and soon it rained like it was summoned unwillingly.
The symbols were washed up, Nyra had fainted. Tharen picked her up and selya gave her a full heal by chanting the healing spell. Tharen and selya both were worried as they had seen their daughter behaving strangely more than once, A few days ago her eyes went full black and strange symbols began forming in her pupils. Tharen had taken her to the elder to see if she was cursed by something, the elder saw nothing wrong with her and told him not to worry.
Nyra woke up feeling tired and saw tharen sleeping beside her, He looked so protective and caring Nyra caressed his face and smiled soon selya entered the room and saw nyra awake, she ran forward and gave her a tight hug, Nyra spoke " Nyaaa, quiet mumya you will wake him up, what happened nya?" she asked. Selya saw her cute expression and smiled saying "It's okay mya love, You had fainted earlier exhausted nya". Nyra had sensed this cause something had spoken that this was reason her mom was restless but the truth was already spoken to nyra by something in her mind long ago.
The next day Nyra quietly went towards the forest and sat under a tree and closed her eyes. she sensed the being residing in her, " who are you nya?", she asked the being explained that it's name was KAIROS and she was the one who had developed him, Nyra was confused " I am just a month old ya how would I develop you nya, I am young and can't have kittens nya" she said. The sentient being almost coughed up blood hearing that. It said" Nyra, you were once Eira a brilliant scientist who created me and were betrayed and killed by the one you trusted, loved and gave everything to, It seems you are reborn in this new world, Sit tight as I am going to flood your mind with memories of your past life." KAIROS fed her mind with old memories of who she was how she was killed by the man she loved and trusted once. After the memories were fed, Nyra opened her eyes and saw herself again she was now revorn as a catkin, a tail, a pair of ears and she looked adorable. The catkins were human like in build, only difference was they had tails ears and legs had paws and were thin as they were exceptionally fast runners.
Nyra sat quietly under the tree for a while. suddenly she stood up and Announced. "KAIROS, I will only trust you from now on, not any stranger in this life I have a loving father and mother also two adorable sister I will trust them too as they are family, Still I will stay cautious" KAIROS replied " That is the right decision Eira, we have a lot to do and explore. I have tried to assess this new world and learned only a few magic "
"Call me Nyra, KAIROS this is my new identity now I don't want to remember my old self anymore" said nyra. KAIROS hummed in response agreeing to her words.
A few hours later Tharen came to her it looked like he had been searching for her for a long time and was quite exhausted " Nyra ya why are you here, I have been searching for ya" He shouted. Nyra spoke " I am sorry papya, I came here to relax as I felt strange nya" she said almost chuckling at her accent. " Did you something weird again ya?" Tharen asked. Nyra nodded " No nya, I felt strange not weird papya"
Tharen chuckled and asked Nyra to follow him" Come ya we need to go home before your sisters and mumya declare you lost" Kaeli and Mira saw Nyra and tharen coming back and ran towards them " Ny Ny where were you?, kaeli was worried nya" Kaeli said. " Ny Ny why did you go alone Mira was also worried about you nya" Mira said.
Nyra chuckled and patted their heads " I was in the forest nya, I wanted to sit alone as I felt strange nya" she said. Selya hearing this scanned her body and asked if she felt okay nyra nodded yes and selya sighed in relief.
A few months passed by all three sisters had grown up a lot they had started hunting and gathering food, Nyra had become strong and was relied on the most. Mira was especially fast and kaeli could sniff food a mile away making them the best hunting squad. Nyra sat by the tree and took a rabbit leg to eat both kaeli and mira followed the same. Nyra had gathered a lot of information about this world.
The world she was reborn in was Lunareth, a world that had raw magic, primal powers and many mysteries to it. All beings had something called the Essentia pulse, which drew magic via conduits like bloodlines, relics and rituals. Cat-kin could tap into lunar waves, which gave them enhanced instincts, agility, stealth, and spirit-sight. They were peaceful beings and kept friendly relations with other species; if provoked, they could bring extinction to the opposing species.
Nyra was the daughter of Tharen and Selya. Tharen was a war hero and the current chief of the Felyari tribe, and Selya was the tribe's master healer. She could cast area heal, which could last for half a day, hence, she was nicknamed the Felyari saint. So basically, Nyra and her two sisters were the princesses of the tribe and held a higher value. KAIROS had already suggested using caution while dealing with people other than family.
The whole world was divided into three Continents, one was the Ael'myra forest continent, which was Nyra's Birthplace and had the felyari tribe. Second were the Vaelstrom Peaks; these were the floating mountains which was home to danger according to locals. The peak was home to an ancient civilisation which fought amongst themselves and perished, but whoever stepped onto that continent never made it back alive.
The third Continent was home to humans. It was the Solence Dominion, and it was a kingdom ruled by Mage aristocrats. I know what you might all be thinking, beastkins were beneath these humans and enslaved them or hunted them, but no, the humans looked up to the beastkins, especially the catkins, as they could wield higher power and fighting them meant destruction.
