Chapter 2 - Chapter 2- A New Hope

In the world of Cultivation, talent was the defining factor that determined one's potential for cultivation. It was said that a person's talent could be categorized into five distinct tiers: low, mid, high, peak, and heaven-defying. Those with low talent would struggle to make progress in their cultivation journey, while those with mid talent would show moderate promise. High talent individuals would excel in their chosen path, and peak talent cultivators would reach the pinnacle of their craft. Heaven-defying talent, however, was a different story altogether.

Throughout the history of Detrox, only three individuals had been recorded to possess high talent. They were legends in their own right, and their names were still spoken of in awe and reverence.

On the north continent of Planet Detrox, nestled within the rugged terrain of Mount Figus, Kael and Elara resided in a small cottage overlooking the mining town below. Kael, a rugged and seasoned miner, sat beside his pregnant wife, Elara, on the couch, gently stroking her hair. They had been married for several years, and this pregnancy was a long-awaited blessing.

"A boy, I just know it'll be a boy," Kael said with a smile, his eyes shining with excitement. "He'll grow up to be a fine young man, handsome just like his father." Elara chuckled, her eyes sparkling with amusement.

"You're already planning his future, aren't you?" she asked, her voice filled with warmth. Kael nodded, his grin unwavering.

"Why not? He's going to take over my business one day. The mining industry needs fresh blood, and I'm sure he'll be more than capable." Elara smiled, her eyes closed, feeling the baby kick and move within her.

As the months passed, Elara's belly grew larger, and the anticipation in the small cottage grew with it. Kael would often talk to the unborn child, sharing stories of the mines and the secrets of the earth.

"You know, kiddo, becoming a cultivator isn't for everyone," he'd say. "It's a tough path, filled with danger and uncertainty. But being a miner, that's a noble profession. We'll make sure you're well taken care of, and you'll learn the ins and outs of the business from me."

Elara would smile, her eyes shining with agreement. "Yes, and he'll have a stable life, not like those cultivators who risk their lives every day." Kael nodded, his expression serious.

"Exactly. We'll make sure he's prepared for the future, and he'll take over the business when the time comes." As the days turned into weeks, and the weeks turned into months, Elara's due date drew near.

Finally, after nine long months, the day arrived. Elara's contractions grew stronger, and Kael rushed her to the town's midwife. The wait was agonizing, but soon, a loud cry filled the air.

Kael's face lit up with joy as he held his newborn son in his arms. "Jin," he whispered, tears streaming down his face. "You're going to shock the whole world, aren't you?"

And so, the man who would later go on to shake the foundations of Detrox took his first breath, unaware of the greatness that lay ahead.

After 9 months, the man who would later go on to shock the whole world, Jin, was born.
