Two disciples were locked in a deadly standoff… over a chicken.
The first, dressed in flowing green robes with the word "Chaos" on it and wielding a guqin strapped to his back, pointed dramatically.
"That chicken is my fated spirit beast! Its feathers are aligned with my Wood Dao!"
The second, a burly fellow with a scar across his forehead, clutched the chicken tighter to his chest.
"Nonsense! This is my breakfast! Fated? More like roasted!"
The chicken flapped its wings, clearly regretting its life choices. It wanted to ask the question, why was it mentioned alongside the Wood Dao?
A crowd quickly gathered, because of course, it was their job.
