 A few days later.

On Sunday, Yu was at home waiting for Yui to arrive.

The two have known each other for a long time, and have often visited each other's houses, so Yu called him over to tell him that he had something important to talk about. Yu's mother passed away a few years ago, and his father is busy with his job as a producer and rarely comes home. Therefore, Yu is the only one at home at the moment, and there is no one else there.

Yu's room has a common interior with a computer on a study desk, manga, a bookshelf to store it on, a glass table, a bed, etc. He is dressed a little more formally than his loungewear, but he still doesn't look like he's putting any effort into his usual clothes, but he has a lewd smile on his face as he imagines what's to come.

The reason why Yui, who has a boyfriend, still comes to Yu's house is because she trusts him. The fact that she is trusted by the person she loves. It's something that you can understand with a little thought, but it's because we only see what we believe in, and only see what is in our own head as fact.

Soon, it was ten minutes before the appointed time. As I was turning on the device I had set up in my room, thinking that it was about time for Yui to arrive, the doorbell rang.

She immediately realized that it was Yui who had arrived, so she got dressed and jogged off to the entrance.

After several failed attempts to open the lock, he finally managed to open the door and there was an angel standing there. Yui was so pretty and elegant that he was fooled into thinking she was an angel.

Yui's outfit is a straw hat, a white shirt, a light blue summer cardigan over it, and a pastel colored long skirt. The overall white theme makes her look like she came straight out of a fashion magazine photoshoot.

Even though it's summer, the overall skin exposure is minimal, likely to protect her from the sun. At first glance, it looks like she's wearing a lot of fabric and is hot, but she says that it's actually surprisingly cool because the fabric is thin.

"Hello Someya-kun. It's hot again today."

Yui's neck is slightly sweaty, which is somehow sexy. This isn't the first time I've seen her sweating.

"That's right. My room is air-conditioned so you can go ahead. I'll bring some barley tea."

"Really? Yay! It's hot outside so I'm happy, thanks."

Yui, who had no idea what would happen to her next, thanks the man who had harmed her.

Yui's smile, as she says it with genuine joy, shines brightly, and for a moment, it seems to erase the dark side of Yu. If Yui breaks up with Takuya, the problem will be solved, so it would be best not to hurt Yui if it can be done well.

But Yu doesn't know a good way to do that.

Yuu thinks that rather than handing the angelic girl in front of him, who is no exaggeration or lie, over to another man, he should take her back, even if it means hurting her a little.

"What are you staring at like that? Is something wrong?"

Yui looked puzzled at his silence. He was deep in thought and probably noticed that his gaze was fixed on her.

"Oh, no, it's nothing."

Yuu can't bring herself to compliment him on how well his clothes look. Yuu hurriedly tries to reconcile the situation, chuckling and saying, "That's weird," as she heads to Yuu's room.

Yuu takes out a container of barley tea from the fridge, places two cups on a tray and takes it back to his room.

When I opened the door and entered the room, Yui was sitting on the bed without any hesitation and looked up at me. Perhaps because she had been here many times before, she didn't look around the room or seem nervous at all, and it felt as if I was in my own room.

When I handed her a cup of barley tea, Yui thanked me again.

"Thanks, it's cool in the room. Being indoors is the best in the summer."

Yui is more of an outdoorsy type, but because of her job as an actress she has to be careful about things like sunburn, and because she often has to shoot in the blazing sun, it has become difficult for her to go outside in the summer.

"By the way, Someya-kun's room is tidy. I went to Takkun's room yesterday and it was a mess. I know he's busy with the soccer club, but he promised to come over to hang out, so I'd like him to tidy up."

She said those words as if it was nothing. To Yui, since he was her boyfriend, it wasn't strange for him to visit her room, but of course that wasn't what Yu thought.

(She went to Takuya's room...?!)

Yuu was shocked by this new information. The common sense that such things are bound to happen when you're dating didn't apply to Yuu.

"Oh, yeah. I went to Takuya's house."

"Ah, you're thinking about naughty things, Someya-kun. We only played games and watched movies together. Just because we're dating doesn't mean I'd do something like that anytime soon."

Yui looked a little embarrassed as to how she took Yu's surprised words, but she spoke firmly.

"Well, there may have been a bit of a good atmosphere... but that's all."

Yui doesn't want to be misunderstood, so she says it openly without hiding anything.

"So, what happened today? Is there something important to talk about?"

Yui, feeling embarrassed about what she had said, changed the topic to hide her embarrassment, not realizing that this would open the gates to hell.

Although he hesitated for a moment at what he was about to do, Yu made up his mind.

"This is it."

Saying that, he pulled up the photo on his smartphone and showed it to Yui.

"Huh? I didn't say anything about that... Ah, Takkun? I guess Takkun was worried about me and told Someya-kun..."

As Yui spoke, she noticed something.

Although he showed the photo to Takuya, he did not hand over the image to him. This means that the only person who has the image, other than Yui, is the person who took the photo. When Yui realizes this, she stares at Yu in disbelief. If he is the culprit, they can deal with it immediately.

There was still a chance that the culprit had sent a similar email to Yu, so Yui wanted to believe Yu, who she had known for many years.

However, Yu himself destroys that faint hope.

"I took this photo back then."

Yu's face was terribly distorted as he said that.
