Chapter 9 - I Prefer You Wearing It

Lin Yingying didn't respond, but soft sobbing came from inside the bathroom.

Su Chen hurriedly pushed the door open and stepped in, only to see her, already finished freshening up, quietly crying in front of the mirror.

Seeing this, Su Chen couldn't help but feel both amused and helpless. What on earth was Lin Yingying playing at?

"If you really don't want to, I won't force you," Su Chen shrugged.

Lin Yingying looked at him with red-rimmed eyes, then without hesitation, threw herself into his arms.

Feeling the softness of the beauty in his embrace, Su Chen felt momentarily distracted.

"Actually… I really don't want to…"

Su Chen was both annoyed and amused. She was the one who actively seduced him, so why was she trying to back out now?

"I was forced into this," Lin Yingying said, hugging him tightly as she poured out all the troubles she'd been through recently.

After hearing her story, Su Chen finally understood.

"This is all a misunderstanding. Yingying, don't worry. Even if nothing happens tonight, I'll definitely sign the contract with you."

Su Chen said seriously.

Lin Yingying lifted her head and stared intently at Su Chen, as if trying to confirm whether he was lying.

Su Chen shrugged and turned to leave.

But Lin Yingying stepped forward, hugging him from behind and whispered,

"No… don't go…"

At this point, it would be a bit uncaring for Su Chen to walk away.

He turned back, lifted Lin Yingying in his arms, and strode toward the bed.

"Wait, let me take off the stockings first…"

Lin Yingying's voice trailed off, but Su Chen stopped her hand.

With a sly smile, he said,

"No, I like you wearing them even more…"

...

The next morning.

Su Chen and Lin Yingying sat across from each other, the atmosphere a bit awkward.

"Yingying, hand me the contract," Su Chen cleared his throat and broke the silence.

Lin Yingying took the contract out of her bag and passed it to him.

Su Chen didn't bother to read it carefully and quickly signed his name.

After the paperwork was done, the room fell silent again.

Just then, Su Chen's phone rang, breaking the tension.

"Hello, is this Brother Su? It's me!" came the voice of Gao Qiangqiang from the other end.

"Got something, Brother Qiang?" Su Chen asked.

"The thing you told me about yesterday, there's progress," Gao Qiangqiang said with a smile.

"If you're free, come find me directly."

"Alright, Brother Qiang, I'll be right there."

After hanging up, Su Chen turned to Lin Yingying.

"I have to go handle some business. If you're tired, you can rest and don't go to work today."

"There's 1.5 million in this card. The password is six sixes."

"One million is my advance payment, and the other 500,000 is compensation for you."

Su Chen set down the bank card, stood up, and headed for the door.

Women only slow down his sword-drawing speed.

Right now, Su Chen's preparations weren't finished; he had no time for sentimental distractions.

Leaving the hotel, Su Chen took a taxi directly to Qiangsheng Company and met up with Gao Qiangqiang.

After some small talk, Gao Qiangqiang mysteriously led him to a hidden warehouse.

Inside, there were hundreds of oil drums neatly stacked.

"As you requested, these are all standard oil drums, over two hundred in total," Gao Qiangqiang said.

"But don't worry, more will come—at least four or five thousand!"

He chuckled.

He had a friend involved in smuggling, so he could get supplies straight from them.

"As for the biubiubiu you wanted, it's really hard to get. I only managed to get this shotgun."

Gao Qiangqiang took out a gun.

It looked like a regular hunting shotgun but with a much shorter barrel, almost identical to the short-barrel shotgun in the game PUBG.

Though the shorter barrel reduced range and accuracy, it was much easier to carry.

Nowadays, gun control was very strict, so getting such a shotgun was already quite an achievement.

Su Chen was not disappointed.

He took the gun, played with it a bit, then smiled contentedly.

"Thanks a lot, Brother Qiang. Could you also get me some ammo?"

"No problem, I can get you around two hundred rounds," Gao Qiangqiang responded readily.

As long as he didn't go looking for trouble himself, two hundred rounds would be enough.

Su Chen nodded and said with a smile,

"Brother Qiang, you've really helped me a lot. How much did it all cost? I'll pay you."

"The fuel money, you can pay when it's all loaded. As for the gun, consider it a gift from me."

Gao Qiangqiang chuckled, then lowered his voice.

"I do have some doubts, though. I hope you can be honest with me—what exactly are you planning to do?"

Su Chen was young, owned a multi-million luxury RV, but came to Gao Qiangqiang for a loan.

That was one thing. But he also wanted a large amount of fuel and a biubiubiu.

Gao Qiangqiang wasn't afraid Su Chen would cause a big incident, but he worried about getting dragged into trouble himself.

Seeing his concern, Su Chen smiled.

"Don't worry, Brother Qiang. I just want it for self-defense."

Su Chen wouldn't tell the sly Gao Qiangqiang the real truth.

Besides, even if he did, he doubted Gao Qiangqiang would believe him.

They chatted a bit more, then Gao Qiangqiang handed over the warehouse keys to Su Chen.

They agreed Gao Qiangqiang would arrange for the goods to be shipped in at night, and Su Chen would transport them away during the day.

...

The following days were extremely busy for Su Chen.

Every morning, he had his driver Lao Xu bring the car to Gao Qiangqiang's warehouse to store the fuel.

In the afternoon and evening, Su Chen was at the parking lot to sign for the medicine and supplies delivered by the pharmaceutical company and Walmart.

After nearly a week of this hustle, everything Su Chen needed was ready.

The nine million he borrowed from Gao Qiangqiang had been spent to the last cent.

He also arranged to take out a loan of over one million using his house as collateral at the bank.
