I couldn't fucking believe it! Sienna was the Princess!
The ride home was ninety percent in silence. Vivienne tried to fill my ears, but damn it, I wasn't in the mood to hear a single fucking complaint!
Just thinking that I had the princess as my wife and then traded her for Vivienne… She was my fated mate, yes, but useless! Sure, she was the daughter of a Beta and it was expected that she'd know how to behave, but she didn't have the slightest clue about anything!
And the worst part was that, in a way, it was partly my fault, because when we were younger and she needed to study, I covered for her every time she wanted to skip class.
I wanted to be an Alpha and paid attention to things, even if I wasn't excellent at everything — I had to admit that. But Vivienne? She always managed to convince me it was useless for her, because with me as Alpha and loving her so much, she wouldn't have to worry about anything at all.
