Returning from the meeting, a single question dominated her thoughts: where did this unsupported woman vanish to? Because she felt no connection, she doubted herself, and now she's determined to uncover more about Celestie Black. Although young, her significant experience and keen intellect in this field eclipse any possible disadvantages. She's using her tried-and-true methods and chooses to follow her intuition once more.
Currently, the thought was extensive, and both she and Achyuta recognized the need to mentally disengage.
ON THE OTHER SIDE IN A.K's ROOM
The man just woke up from his slumber with messy hair and confused look, doing no great to his good looks other than enhancing it. He woke up with no sight of the woman he wished to see by his side. He called out her name a couple times and went out to search for her but came back disappointed and then he saw a note sticking on his side table which said in the lines of going for a cup of coffee.
That made him mad to no extent on his terms. She was going on a date with one of his men and not him… Now we all know men and their jealousy works like a miracle. So, he got up and changed into a fresh pair of clothes, took the keys of a random car and marched towards the warehouse with the mindset of engaging himself in his work. One thing to note down about this guy is that he has no guts to confess to her but he also has no heart to see her with any other man which is not him and the foremost of all is that the guy has his own set of assumptions lined up at the entrance of his brain to take entry when any single wave of doubt arises and in this case too the same occurred.
That is when Anahita's call rang and he saw the caller ID and first thought to ignore it, but something in him didn't let him do it and hence he ended up picking up the phone. But like it's known, that man is as stubborn as ever. So he played very well and didn't even speak a word, and that is when he heard her melodic voice.
"Hey get ready if you aren't already. We are going somewhere and wear something comfortable as it will be late when we return."
Seeing no response from the other person, she decided to try reaching out to him again, feeling overwhelmed with confusion and worry. Anahita decided to call his assistant about Achyuta, and as soon as he answered the phone, she asked and learned he was fine and going to the warehouse.
She decided to talk to him there and hence turned up her car towards the warehouse.
There he had already reached the warehouse and had engrossed himself in his work, that is when the door to his office opened with a bang and the voice was so loud that if there was a bit more force to it then, the door would've broken. He decided to give a piece of his mind to whoever this person was, fueled by a mix of frustration and curiosity. As he looked up, ready to confront the unknown offender, his anger subsided instantly. It was none other than Anahita, the person who had left him a heartbreaking note. A rush of conflicting emotions overwhelmed him - the hurt from her note was still fresh in his mind, yet seeing her standing there before him softened his heart. He quickly masked his hurt, forcing a neutral expression on his face. Though he tried to conceal his true emotions, Anahita, being perceptive, could sense the hidden hurt behind the facade of indifference he displayed.
'Since when did you start entering the warehouse?' she inquired
'Since the day you started going on dates' he retorted
'In those cases you should never be here in the first place you know?'
'Why? Only you have the right to go out and do things which you want?'
' No! It is because I never went on a date till now and you should have known it Achyuta! That never means it… Never have I ever gone on a freakin 'date!'
'Oh really!, then am I wrong?'
'Yes you are!'
'You know what! Get out'
'Why should I go out?' she spoke gritting her teeth
'Isn't it obvious?'
'No! It isn't'
'Well then damn you!! I don't care about it!'
'You do! And that is why you are reacting so stop being so stubborn and listen to me, and if you don't want to then go on and stay in the stupid assumption of yours!!' Frustration was bubbling within her and he knew better than to mess with her in this case…
'Just for this once' He warned
'I had a talk with the tech guy and the recent developments. You see, there are a lot of things going on and I have some suspicions and I wanted to know the updates of everything. And before you say that you could've given it to me, then let me remind you that you don't have much knowledge about tech and stuff if my memory serves me right, Mr.Karnik!'
He immediately started to regret his actions, but before he could have any reaction, she left the room and stormed straight towards her car. He followed her like a lost puppy, he so wanted to ask for her forgiveness but he knew that she needed some time but that also doesn't mean that he won't stop pestering her, he sat in the passenger seat and before she could react, he closed the door and put on the seatbelt.
Wanting to ignore him, she didn't utter a single word and started driving deep in the jungle. She was driving aimlessly since she was in no mood to go back to the mansion.
Achyuta felt the silence pressing down, a suffocating weight threatening to crush him, each tick of the clock echoing his growing dread. He gripped the seat, his intended words vanishing in a desperate silent plea as the world lurched violently. The image of her near-accident clouded his vision, the intended lecture dissolving into a wave of parental concern. He felt a surge of furious defiance, hot and blinding, but the stark reality of the situation quickly extinguished it. In the middle of nowhere, they found themselves surrounded by an unknown army.
The gravity of the situation did weigh down the duo but they knew that they had to get out of there as soon as possible. Here one thing both of them were well versed with was the jungle or it was what they thought. Knowing the pressure building up within, Anahita started the engine determined to escape from the place, but only the lord knows what is the next step which is going to come
