Rage contorted Jinx's face. Without a shred of hesitation, she launched a straight, unrestrained punch. The ordinary woman reeled back from the blow, stumbling and falling hard onto her backside. Her nose was clearly broken, and blood immediately began to flow.
"Mother!"
A young man shouted, rushing to help the woman up. Nearby, Star calmly assisted Ellen to her feet.
"You! How dare you hit my mother!" the son shrieked at Jinx.
POW!
Before the young man could finish his outburst, a straight punch from Blood Eye—appearing as if from nowhere—sent him sprawling to the ground.
"Son!" the woman gasped, her shock momentarily overriding her pain.
"How dare you push her down!" Jinx advanced, her hand snaking out to seize the woman's neck.
"Let go! What are you doing?! You can't kill me just for pushing someone!" the woman choked out. Her panicked defiance only made Jinx's grip tighten.
"Let go of the madam!"
