Chapter 1 - A Dirt is always a Dirt

1994, North-west area, Elymir

The city was bustling with energy, like a kaleidoscope of various colors. People were going here and there like ants, and buildings were shining bright like a star.

"Myself Alan Smith. I am just like more than a million people here in Elymir - a dirter. People call me by different names, some insulting while others abusing. But everyone looks down on me. Here in Elymir, 4 different classes exist. The first one is, Dirter. They are the poorest people in all of Elymir, and are often looked down by upper 3 classes. Even if they do have a lot of money, it is considered government property and they are one again poor. Next comes Normo. They are the normal working class, who are neither too wealthy nor too poor. The third one is Elite, who are a lot richer than the other two classes. There are not too many of them, 60,790 to be exact. They usually own big business houses, and appoint Normos as employees. The last and the richest class is, A royal elite. There are only 50 royal elite families in Elymir. They are a part of the government and rules the country. But, the unluckiest of all the classes is my class. I don't know what did I do to deserve this. I don't even know who my parents are. My aunt raised me till I was 17, and now I live alone by working as a waiter in a restaurant."

"Hey, you!" Someone called out.

Alan stopped in his tracks. He didn't felt like Dealing with anyone's bullying right now, in the middle of mocking his life. He took a deep breath and approached the boy.

"Yeah?" He asked, wearing a fake smile. "What do you want?"

The boy clenched his fists and grabbed Alan's collar. "Don't you know I am a elite? You should address me as sir!"

"O-ok...sir." He said.

The weight of words was still echoing in his mind like a haunting melody. He couldn't help but clenched his fists, even though there was nothing he could do about it.

The classroom felt silent as Alan walked in, his eyes scanning with a mix of anxiety and anger. The familiar faces seemed to twist into mocking grins, and snickers spread like wildfire.

"Hey look, who's there!" Someone whispered, loud enough for everyone to hear. "The dirt!"

"I don't even know his name, do you guys know? We're so used to call him dirt now!" A girl mocked him.

"But he deserves this! Look him, no fashion sense! Eww!" Another girl spoke.

A girl's voice cut through the mocking whispers, a calm presence in the midst of chaos. "Hey! That's enough!" Everyone's eyes moved towards her, even Alan's. "Leave him alone!"

The classroom felt silence, everyone's attention shifting towards the girl.

Alan looked at her with shock, for nobody had given him this much sympathy.

She was Jenna Recker, an elite. Her father was the owner of a big travel agency in Elymir. But her heart was as big as her father's company. She never used to behave like other elites in the school, and never looked down to anyone under her class.

Alan's eyes gleamed, for he used to think that there were no good people left on this planet, all because of this class system. But now he got to know that there was some, still present on the earth.

"Only because Ms. Jenna wants us to!" The boy made a sulky face, and sat down on his desk.

"No! We can't listen to you, Jenna!" It was the same guy who bullied Alan. "My name is Richard Scotts. My father owns a million dollar company! I am also an elite! So you can't order me around like that!"

Jenna just smiled and again stood up. "So 'Mr. Son of a million dollar company's owner' as you say, do you even know who I am? My father owns a billion dollar company! So better shut up you'll be sold in minutes!"

Richard felt humilated and with a feeling of revenge in his mind, he sat down. Soon the teacher came, and started his lecture. But Alan's mind was somewhere else. He was thinking that why this girl was saving him? Did she owe him something? Or she has a..... No no no! How can an elite have a crush on a dirter. But still, he was happy that someone took his side.

Alan walked through the busy streets after the school ended, and the day's events replayed after him. The mocking faces, the girl's kind words and the humilated Richard. A weight of emotion swirled through his mind.

As he turned a corner, his gaze drifted sidewards. He saw a Grand villa, perched on a big plot of land. The structure's elegant builds and lush green garden were radiating serenity.

Alan's footsteps slowed, and he began to wonder who owned this luxury villa. While he was confused and was thinking who was the owner, someone walked out.

The man, who was looking in his 30's, wore a black suit and a shining new tie. His eyes, a deep shade of blue, sparkled as he was observing his surroundings. His dark hair was styled perfectly, and his smile hinted a presence of confidence and charm.

As he walked down the steps, his eyes met Alan's. Just as Alan was to walk away and mind his way, he called out.

"Hey! Come here."
