Realizing that all his efforts had been in vain, Clayton was filled with disappointment. Continuing the battle in this situation would only deplete his resources—especially the precious purification scrolls.
Without hesitation, he shifted his strategy from fighting to fleeing.
"Protect me!" he commanded his mini skeletons.
They immediately formed a defensive formation around him. Seeing everything go according to plan, Clayton dashed off in one direction.
But the decayed skeletons clearly had no intention of letting him escape. They quickly moved to block his path. Fortunately, Clayton had his mini skeletons—along with Dingo and Gemma—faithfully at his side. With their help, this escape attempt didn't feel nearly as hopeless as the last one.
The mini skeletons held off the enemy while Clayton, Dingo, and Gemma attacked from within the formation. It was a simple but effective tactic, allowing Clayton to steadily increase the distance between him and his pursuers.
