Chapter 27 - The Hopeful Future

King Ragnok, ruler of the Goblin Nation and overseer of the Wizarding Bank, was blissfully enjoying a calm early morning when he didn't have to deal with incompetent employees or annoying wizards thinking they're entitled to everything. That peace was broken when Harry Potter's account manager, Griphook, came barging in with a panicked look on his face and a parchment in hand.

Ragnok sighed exasperated, "What is it now, Griphook?"

Griphook finally caught his breath, "My King, there's been a…development with Lord Potter's accounts."

The Goblin King raised an eyebrow, "What kind of development?"

Griphook looked lost for words, and he sighed as he handed Ragnok the parchment. The king looked down and needless to say, he was likely as shocked as Griphook when he first saw the report. Lord Potter's accounts, specifically the Hogwarts ones, now had nine new authorized users as somehow, the young lord now had nine new mates.

Lord Harry James Potter-Black-Hogwarts: Lord of the Most Ancient and Noble House of Potter, Lord of the Most Ancient and Noble House of Black, Lord of the Ancient House of Gryffindor, Lord of the Ancient House of Ravenclaw, Lord of the Ancient House of Hufflepuff, Lord of the Ancient House of Slytherin.

Spouses:

Fleur Potter née Delacour

Nymphadora Black née Tonks

Penelope Ravenclaw née Clearwater

Su Ravenclaw née Li

Susan Hufflepuff née Bones

Hannah Hufflepuff née Abbott

Daphne Slytherin née Greengrass

Tracey Slytherin née Davis

Pansy Slytherin née Parkinson

Angelina Gryffindor née Johnson

Alicia Gryffindor née Spinnet

Katherine Gryffindor née Bell

Ragnok finally came out his stupor, "Did we confirm this?"

Griphook nodded, "We have the marriage certificates and each of the Hogwarts vaults have responded appropriately."

The Goblin King just rubbed his eyes, "Send an owl to young Lord Potter informing of the changes and be sure to include we will be ready to assist in any matters we can in the coming weeks. I have a feeling he's going to need it."

Griphook nodded and ran off, leaving a nervous, but slightly amused Ragnok with his thoughts, "You truly are the most interesting wizard I have ever met, Lord Potter."

Tracey woke up feeling better than she ever had before for some reason she couldn't explain, that usually only happens when she has a wet dream about Harry, which is a secret she'll take to the grave. She yawned and stretched and then she felt an unfamiliar weight on her ring finger and her jaw dropped at what she saw. It was a beautiful wedding ring with a silver band with an emerald gem that had the Slytherin crest on it.

"WHAT THE FUCK?!", she screamed, forcing Daphne and Pansy to bolt out of their beds as Milicent was still snoring away in a deep sleep.

Daphne rubbed her eyes, "Trace, what's the matter?"

"Look, I woke up with this on my finger!", Tracey raised her hand, and the two girls were shocked to see the ring.

"Tracey, where the hell did you get-", Pansy's question was cut short when she saw the same ring on her own hand.

Daphne also noticed she had the same ring on her hand, "What in the name of Merlin is going on?"

Pansy analyzed the situation, "The rings are definitely wedding rings, and the Slytherin crest means we are now each a Lady Slytherin, likely married to Lord Slytherin."

Tracey's eyes widened, "What!? How can all three of us be married? Without us even knowing? Also, there is no Lord Slytherin."

Daphne realized something, "Wait, Harry was rumored to be the Heir of Slytherin, wasn't he?"

Tracey scoffed, "You don't believe that nonsense from second year, do you?"

Pansy hummed to herself, "I doubt Harry summoned a giant snake to attack the school, but I do feel that my love for Harry is…more complete, stable even. Do you two feel the same?"

Both girls nodded before Tracey's eyes widened and she said, "Wait, you two are in love with Harry? Since when?"

Daphne blushed and ducked her head, "You know I fancied him last year, but this year my feelings only grew and yeah…I love him. He's the only man I know who's kind and strong and smart who cares about me. I didn't want to do anything though Because I know you've loved him a long time."

Tracey was shocked slightly and looked at Pansy who nodded in agreement, causing her to sigh, "We'll talk about this later, right now, we need to find Harry."

The two other snakes nodded and got ready for the day with worried thoughts and heavy hearts.

Su was passed out in the Ravenclaw common room at an abandoned table drooling into a book when Luna found her, giggling at the scene until the ditzy blonde took pity on her friend and woke her up. Su finally woke up from her slumber, feeling great and her heart a flutter, and she yawned cutely as she saw Luna standing over her.

"Morning Luna, thanks for waking me up. Looks like I passed out researching again.", she said.

Luna nodded, "Good Morning to you too, Su. Congratulations by the way."

Su titled her head, "Congratulations for what?"

Luna pointed at her hand, "Your marriage, of course."

Su looked down and her eyes became comical at the sight of a silver wedding ring with a blue sapphire gem that had the Ravenclaw crest on it. Her rapid-fire brain took all the variables in front of her and came to the quick conclusion that she had indeed become Lady Ravenclaw by marrying someone.

Luna spoke up again, "Tell Harry I said congratulations as well, must be strange having twelve wives, but at least it will keep away the nargles."

Su promptly fainted and entered blissful sleep once more.

Hannah had barely slept in the last two days since her confrontation with Ernie, so she was thankful her body finally gave out last night after she cried herself to sleep. However, upon waking up today, she felt her burdens were lighter and there was this warm feeling in her chest, and she was oddly thinking about Harry. She got out of bed and stretched and looked around the room, laughing at how Megan was sleeping, and Susan was cutely snuggled up in her blanket sleeping soundly. She was going to head to the bathroom when something shiny caught her attention, coming from Susan's bed. She looked down at her best friend's hand and her eyes widened upon seeing a silver wedding ring with a yellow diamond in it that appeared to have the Hufflepuff crest. When she reached out to inspect it, she noticed the same exact ring on her own finger and immediately panicked.

She began shaking Susan to wake up, "Suze, wake up. WAKE UP!"

Susan woke to see a frightened Hannah, "Hann, what's the matter?"

The blonde grabbed bother hand and her own, "Look, we both woke up with these."

Susan saw two identical rings and her morning brain simply did not have the processing power to deal with it, so she just said, "Huh, that's not good."

Hannah just threw her hands up in exasperation, "No shit! Somehow, we got married in the night and neither of us know how, either there's some strong magic here or Megan gave us one of her special cocktails."

Susan nodded, "We have our DADA club meeting later, maybe Harry or one of the others know something; for some reason, I feel closer to him. For now, we should keep this to ourselves."

Hannah nodded and the two nervous girls ready for a long day, but both felt this strange sense of happiness that neither could explain.

It was the crack of dawn when Harry woke up, like he usually did since childhood, and went to the common room to review his studies and see the Chasers off for their God-awful practice time on the pitch. Although, he was unexplainably feeling like he was on cloud 9, nor could he understand why his Hogwarts rings were acting up. He entered the common room and saw the three girls in their practice uniforms but was concerned when he saw the worried looks on their faces.

"Girls, what's up?", he asked.

Katie looked to be on the verge of tears when she said, "We woke up and found these on our ring fingers. These mean what we think it does right?"

Harry looked at her hand and his eyes slowly widened when he saw a silver wedding ring with a ruby stone and the Gryffindor crest on it. He looked over to see both Angelina and Alicia both had the same rings as well, and when Harry realized what had happened and what all four of his Hogwarts lighting up this morning meant, he knew he was well and truly fucked.

"G-girls, I think…I know what's happening.", he nervously said.

Alicia perked up, "You do? Well, whose ass do we need to kick?"

Harry gulped, "There's something I need to be sure of first, why don't we talk later after the meeting with the others."

All three girls knew what he was referring to, so they reluctantly nodded and went on their way to practice, leaving a very distressed Harry to his thoughts. "That's what I get for thinking I can have a quiet morning.", he thought with a tired sigh.

Seven hours later, Harry was wrapping up the newest defense club meeting, the last for the year, and he couldn't help but allow his nerves to get to him for the upcoming conversation that he had been dreading with the girls. What also concerned him was that Hannah, Susan, Daphne, Tracey, Pansy, and Su also were wearing similar rings to the Chasers and Harry knew he was going a lot of explaining to do and he was going to have reveal his final secrets to them. It's not that he didn't trust them, quite the opposite as the rings proved, but this means that they all now had targets on their backs. Knowing he couldn't put this off any longer as the girls were getting antsy, he decided to end the meeting.

"Alright everyone, we won't be meeting again until after the holidays, so keep practicing on your own as best you can and great work everyone.", he said as he the students exchanged goodbyes.

As all of the students filtered out minus Harry and his nine new wives, drawing curious looks from Hermione, Ron, and Neville while Luna gave him a beaming smile and wink, Harry steeled his nerves and looked at the girls whom he had grown to care about greatly. He could definitely say he loved Daphne, Tracey, Pansy, Katie, and the two Su's, despite the fact that he loved Tonks, Fleur, and Penny just the same, often trying to ignore those feelings but he could say he was kind of glad fate had offered him this chance to be with them. As for Angelina, Alicia, and Hannah, he wasn't in love with them, but they definitely meant the world to him and definitely wouldn't mind them as wives since they were like his best friends; quite odd, considering a year ago, Hannah wished he would fade from existence. He just prayed they would feel the same and flay him in the school courtyard when he told them the truth.

He could see that they were all wondering why he asked all nine of them to stay behind so he spoke up, "I know you're all wondering why I asked you to stay behind, and you're all probably concerned about the rings. Well, I trust you nine with everything, so it's time to tell you my last secrets, so follow me, and please no matter what, don't tell anyone about what you see."

The girls seemed even more nervous than before, but they all nodded and followed Harry out of the Room of Requirement and towards the girl's bathroom on the second floor. When they entered, some were giving him confused looks while some were giving him suspicious looks, but he just went over to the sink and spoke in Parseltongue to open the entrance to the chamber. He almost burst out laughing as he saw their faces when the sink rose up, especially Su who looked like a kid on Christmas, but he just summoned the stairs and led them into the chamber.

When they finally entered the actual chamber, Pansy seemed to put two and two together, "Harry…are we in the bloody Chamber of Secrets?"

Harry sighed and nodded, "Yes, it is, but I promise you it will all make sense when we get to the study. Su, please stop touching the basilisk."

"Are you kidding!? Dead or not, it's a real live basilisk, I'm so going to examine it!", she squealed.

Harry just shook his head and led the girls into the study where his three remaining wives (Fleur, Tonks, and Penny) were already waiting for him with the portraits of the founders. After Gringotts had sent an owl confirming that he was now in fact married to all nine girls, so he sent for his first three wives and told them what had happened. Their reactions varied, Fleur stared at him a few minutes unable to respond, Penny just rubbed her temples exhausted at her husband's crazy life, and Tonks being Tonks was on the floor holding her stomach she was laughing so hard as she shouted, "HAHAHA! I knew it! Coven for the win bitches!"

He also spoke with the founders about how this had happened, and Rowena explained that the magic they had instilled in the school had finally chosen his wives for their respective houses and his growing attachment to each of them was his hidden feelings finally coming to the surface. They also stressed that the girls had to have a strong emotional connection to him and vice versa, which he knew was true enough, now he just had to hope they understood that.

Harry cleared his throat, "Ok, as you all know, you each woke up with wedding rings that held your respective house crests on them. As you might have guessed, this now means you are married to the Lord of that house."

All of the girls looked down in sorrow and Harry had to continue, "What none of you know is that I am the Lord of all four of those houses, as well as Houses Potter and Black."

All of the girls blinked a few times until realization of what he just said, "WHAT!?"

"We're…m-married?", Susan blushed and stuttered.

"You are the Lord Black who saved Astoria?", Daphne asked in a whisper.

"How…when…where…?", asked a dazed Katie.

"How did I not see it?", Su asked as she slapped her forehead.

Angelina and Alicia just stood there jaws agape, Hannah just sputtered gibberish, and Tracey looked like she was going to pass out.

Pansy just shrugged, "I knew it."

Harry ran a hand down his face and sighed, "Alright, I know you all have a plethora of questions, which is why I've spent all day preparing a Pensive with all of my most important memories, both good and bad, to answer all of them. I'll warn you…many of them are unpleasant, but you all deserve to know the truth now. You all mean the world to me."

All of the girls were speechless and flushed while his first three wives smiled proudly, or smirking like a know-it-all in Tonks' case, and they each agreed to view the memories. After Harry poured the first memories in, each of the girls stuck their heads in the Pensive to bear witness to his past. He started with some early childhood memories, all bad, but they were married now, and he could hold no secrets with them, and they all came out to give him a large group hug after with some tears which made him smile softly. Then he showed them each year at Hogwarts, all his crazy adventures and how he became a lord and husband last year, and they were shocked with each passing memory.

They eventually finished and emotionally exhausted Tracey said, "Merlin, Harry, I knew you had seen some crazy shit, but I never could have guessed half of what I just saw, and I have a crazy imagination."

Harry nodded with a weak grin, "Yeah, you get used to it. I've told the whole truth about my life, both the good and bad, and I know none of you wanted to get married like this. However, there's no one else I would rather spend my life with than all of you."

The girls were silent for a while before Tracey stood up, "Harry, I'll admit this is a weird situation, but I don't care. I love you, truly I do, and nothing will change that if you feel as I do."

"Harry, I spent my whole life thinking every man was scum, but you proved me wrong when you saved my sister from marrying Malfoy. You're a hero, my hero and I love you.", Daphne said.

Pansy nodded, "I thought I would spend the rest of my life under Draco and my father's thumb, but you freed me, and no matter how hard I tried not to, I slowly fell in love with you, and I want to be with you."

Su fidgeted but steeled herself, "Harry I…you give me confidence and make me feel good about myself in a way that no one ever really did outside my grandmother and see me as an equal. I love you and I want to be your wife if you'll have me."

Katie smiled widely, "Don't think you can get rid of me, Potter, you had my heart long ago, but I was too much of a cowardly lion to do anything, but no more."

Susan blushed but had a fire in her eyes, "Harry, I don't know why you love me like I love you since you're perfect, but I do want to be with you…forever and always."

Harry smiled, "You are perfect to me, Susan, all of you are and I really don't deserve any of you. I can easily say I love each of you six without fail. Angie, Alicia, what do you two say?"

Angelina had a tried smile, "I really never wanted to get married due to my aspirations of going pro, but it would be nice to have a home to go to when all is said and done. And, if I'm going to be saddled with anyone, I'd would like it to be you, Merlin knows no one else would compare. I don't think I'm in love with you yet, but I do love you."

Alicia looked nervous, "I've never thought myself capable of loving another person due to my past with my father, but lately I've been feeling different when around you and I know that one day, if I open my heart, it will be to you. So, I want to give this a try, plus someone needs to look after Angie and Katie."

Harry nodded with a large smile and turned his gaze to the last girl who would have the hardest accepting this, "Hannah, are you alright?"

Hannah had been silent for a while and she sighed, "Harry, I'm not good enough to be your wife."

Harry's eyes widened at such a statement and asked, "What are you talking about?"

Hannah looked down, "As a girl I fantasized about meeting you as the great hero the books always said, but then I met you and I am ashamed to admit I was disappointed to see how shy and clueless you were, especially after just witnessing your childhood. Then, I spent two years demeaning you to make myself more appealing to people who didn't even like me."

Harry sighed with a small smile, "Hannah, it's true that we've had quite a few differences in the past, but that doesn't matter to me anymore. You are my friend and I know that being forced to marry someone is a hard subject for you, but I promise to be the best husband I can be, even if we're only friends."

Hannah gave him a watery smile, "Thank you, Harry. If someone chooses a husband for me, I will definitely say I lucked out, especially since-…oh shit!"

Harry would have laughed at hearing demure Hannah Abbott curse if not for the panic in her voice, "What's the matter?"

"Harry, Ernie told me that over the holidays he was going to force my father to sign the marriage contract, and now that I'm married…", Hannah trailed off defeated.

"Ernie will undoubtedly lash out, which means I have to get you somewhere safe.", he realized.

Harry thought about it and now that he a much larger family, he knew it was time to finally push all his plans into motion. The risk, of course, would be exposing all his secrets for nothing and his likely imprisonment or death, but the rewards and safety of his family was now paramount.

"Pansy is your plan ready for action now that my lordships support it?", he asked.

The Slytherin queen nodded, "It is, but how are going to set it in motion?"

Harry gained a devious smile, "Here's what we'll do."

Luna was happily skipping down the castle corridors, looking for her shoes again thanks to the nargles, when her friend Harry Potter appeared before her. She knew what was about to happen would change the Wizarding world forever with this request.

Luna smiled at him, "Hello, Harry Potter. How can I help you?"

Harry smiled at her, "Hello, Luna. Do you remember when you said I could rely on you and your father for anything?"

Luna nodded and he continued, "How would you two like to have the exclusive for the story of the century?"

Luna beamed at him, "Thought you would never ask."
