[OPENING SCENE — FLASHBACK]
Visual: A village in ruins. Black smoke rises. The sky is red with fire and ash. A child stands alone, eyes glowing faintly violet. A voice echoes, distorted and ancient.
VOICEOVER (Whispering):
"You should not exist… yet here you are..."
Visual: A black blade floats above the child's head. It suddenly vanishes in a burst of light.

[SCENE 2 — AETHERFALL ACADEMY GATES]
Visual: Wide shot of a floating island castle surrounded by sky and arcane energy. Hundreds of students arrive in carriages, airships, and on foot. Nobles, warriors, and mages bustle with excitement.
VOICEOVER (Selia):
"Every year, the brightest are chosen. Those with Aether in their blood. Those destined for greatness."
Visual: Cut to SELIA VIRELLE, dressed elegantly, walking with grace among other nobles. She glances up, expression confident but curious.
SELIA (softly):
"Hmph. Let's see if anyone's worth my time this year."

[SCENE 3 — THE POWER TEST]
Visual: A large auditorium with a massive crystal pillar glowing blue. Students are called one by one. Magical readings rise like numbers on a meter.
TEACHER:
"Step forward for the Aether Resonance Test. This will determine your standing."
Visual: Several students step up. One scores a 7, the crowd claps. Another gets a 9 — rare, and people whisper.
TEACHER:
"Next: … Riven. No family name?"
Camera pans. RIVEN steps forward, wearing a black cloak. Silent. Eyes hidden by messy silver hair.
He places his hand on the crystal.
Silence.
The crystal flickers… then shatters violently. The room is engulfed in dark-purple light. Students scream. Shadows ripple outward.
TEACHER (shocked):
"T-This... this reading is… off the scale!"

[SCENE 4 — REACTIONS]
Visual: The room is silent. The instructors look disturbed. Some students back away from Riven.
STUDENT (whispering):
"Did he break it? Is that even possible?"
ARDYN (scowling):
"He doesn't belong here. This isn't power... it's something else."
Visual: SELIA watches from above, intrigued, eyes narrowing.
SELIA (to herself):
"...Interesting."

[SCENE 5 — ENDING]
Visual: Later, Riven sits alone under a tree. The sky is overcast. He looks at his palm silently — a faint sigil glows, then fades.
VOICEOVER (Riven's thoughts):
"They want to know who I am. I don't even know the answer myself. But I will find it... and them."
Cut to: PROFESSOR ELANDRA on a tower balcony, staring into the sky.
ELANDRA (softly):
"It begins again... Voidborn."
FADE TO BLACK.
