Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: The Meeting Before the End

Boom!

With a slight jolt, the Moby Dick docked smoothly at the harbor.

"Old Man Whitebeard!" Rimuru leapt onto Whitebeard's chair. "When is Roger being executed?"

"Why do you want to know?" Whitebeard frowned slightly. "Don't tell me… you're planning to break him out?!"

"No!" Rimuru was speechless. "Do I look like that kind of person?"

"Eh… It's the day after tomorrow." Whitebeard's voice dipped. He and Roger had fought countless times. They weren't exactly friends, but there was mutual respect. And now, the man who had become Pirate King…

"So that means there's still time?" Rimuru's eyes lit up. "Old Man Whitebeard, I want to meet him!"

Whitebeard fell silent. Roger had turned himself in voluntarily, but the security around him was still insanely tight. After all, he was no ordinary criminal.

"Can you manage it?" Whitebeard looked seriously at Rimuru.

"Absolutely!" Rimuru gave a confident thumbs-up.

"Is that so? Then wait a sec. Take something for me." Whitebeard stood up and returned shortly after with a large sake barrel.

"What kind of booze is this?" Rimuru asked curiously.

Whitebeard opened the barrel, poured out half the sake, and sealed the rest. "It's the drink I owe him. I'm counting on you, Rimuru."

"Got it." Rimuru absorbed the sake barrel into his body. "I'm heading out."

He sprouted wings, leapt gently into the sky, and soared away from the Moby Dick.

Whitebeard watched Rimuru fly off, expression dim, and let out a soft sigh.

High in the air, Rimuru cloaked himself with invisibility magic as he scanned the massive town below, searching for the prison holding Roger.

Suddenly, Rimuru blinked—someone was trying to contact him. Members of the Dimensional Guild could communicate with each other using its built-in chat system.

Ramiris: Rimuru, I need you for something!

Rimuru: What's up?

Milim: Bestie! Come back already! Veldora is useless! He's a total liability! I can't carry him anymore!

Veldora: …I didn't do it on purpose…

Milim: He keeps feeding first blood and always finishes last in the rankings! I got roasted by Ichy (that's the Dark Emperor, one of the original primordial demons alongside Diablo)!

Veldora: …

Milim: Bestie, where are you right now?

Rimuru: I'm in another world!

Milim: WHAT?! (⊙▽⊙!)

Ramiris: When did you go?!

Rimuru: I've been out for over a month. (= _ =!!)

Diablo: Lord Rimuru, it has been a while.

Rimuru: Diablo! You're here too?

Diablo: I've been online the entire time, in case you needed me. After all, I am your Chief Secretary.

Rimuru: Wow, that's some serious dedication.

Milim: Bestie, can I come over too?

Ramiris: Count me in!

Rimuru: Why though?

Milim: Pretty please, bestie~! I swear I won't cause trouble! I swear on my title as Demon Lord!

Ramiris: Same! I swear on my Demon Lord title too!

Rimuru: I highly doubt that.

Milim & Ramiris: Bestie~! Rimuru-chan~!

Rimuru sighed without realizing it. With Milim and Ramiris' personalities, there was no way they wouldn't cause chaos. But saying no? That would only make things worse. His entire Demon Kingdom would probably get turned upside down.

"…Fine!" Rimuru said helplessly. "But! No messing around!"

"Yay!!" Milim and Ramiris cheered, jumping around excitedly. A new world to explore! As for their oaths… eh, if it came to that, they'd just give up being Demon Lords!

Rimuru, blissfully unaware of their shameless mental gymnastics, opened the Dimensional Guild interface. A screen popped up in front of him.

[Add Dimensional Travel Function?]

Confirm?

Rimuru: "Yes."

[Function Added Successfully!]

Rimuru successfully integrated the Dimensional Gate he had drawn earlier into the guild system.

Moments later, two figures appeared in front of him.

One was about the same height as Rimuru—twin pink pigtails, deep blue eyes, and notably… no pants. Just a pair of black panties and a single cowlick on her head.

She was Milim Nava, the Tyrant of Destruction, one of the oldest Demon Lords. Wielder of the ultimate skill Wrathful King. Though she looked delicate, her magical power was near limitless and grew with each battle. Even now, Rimuru found her incredibly hard to deal with. But her IQ? Practically negative. She was incredibly gullible and needed constant supervision.

The other figure was only about eight inches tall, with four delicate wings fluttering behind her. Incredibly cute, this was Ramiris, the Labyrinth Fairy. Also one of the oldest Demon Lords. She had once been immensely powerful, but after saving Milim and bringing her back to her senses long ago, she had lost much of her strength. Thanks to the Guild's restoration abilities, she had regained her power and now acted as both Demon Lord and Fairy Queen. She was kind, but also a massive tsundere.

Standing together—Rimuru, Ramiris, and Milim—no one would ever guess they were Demon Lords. One looked cute, one was airheaded, and one just looked… adorable. Absolutely no threat at all.
