Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Price of Power

Liam's rise did not go unnoticed. His sudden mathematical brilliance, his ability to defeat any challenger, and his family's overnight wealth drew attention. At Technoville University, whispers surrounded him. Some called him a genius, while others whispered of cheating or worse.

One day, during a mathematics lecture, Professor Elaine, a sharp-eyed woman with a talent for logic, called him to her office.

"Liam, your progress is remarkable," she began, her tone neutral. "Too remarkable. I've never seen someone struggle so much only to become a top scholar overnight."

Liam kept his expression calm. "I've been studying a lot, Professor."

"Perhaps. But talent attracts envy, and envy attracts enemies," she warned, her gaze piercing. "Be careful."

Liam walked out, unease gnawing at him. Outside the campus, a group of students, led by Roderick—a well-known campus athlete—watched him with a mix of suspicion and resentment.

"There goes the so-called genius," Roderick muttered. "Bet he's just a fraud."

Liam's fists clenched, but he walked away. Syra's voice whispered, "You have gained fame, but fame can be a double-edged sword."

But it wasn't just university. In the corporate world, rumors of a secret investor buying up shares spread. Liam's family was approached by corporate agents asking about their sudden wealth.

At night, Liam sat before his old computer, the familiar glow of Syra calming him. "Syra, is there a way to hide my achievements?"

"Yes, Liam. I can activate Stealth Protocol, hiding your true abilities and assets," Syra offered.

"Do it," Liam whispered. But even as his identity became a secret, powerful figures began to search for the mysterious genius changing the world.

Liam's world was no longer just about gaining skills—it was about survival.

And in the darkness, someone else activated a forgotten Syra system, a rival who would stop at nothing to surpass Liam.
