Chapter 662 - Chapter 662: Kurumi's Singing

"Shichen…"

Tokisaki Kurumi couldn't stop Shichen from "finding a water source to quench his thirst."

Her eyes were unfocused, her voice barely a murmur as she called his name, pupils hazy as if little hearts were floating in them. She could only lie there motionless.

Shichen quietly drank his "water," not minding Kurumi at all, getting it all over his face until it shone with moisture.

Once his thirst was finally satisfied, he lifted his head and took a look at Kurumi. Seeing her already half out of it, he leaned closer and asked softly,

"Kurumi… is this okay?"

It was like she snapped back for a moment. She glanced at him, then leaned in and followed her heart to kiss him.

Shichen responded, tangling his tongue with hers.

"…It tastes a little salty," Kurumi muttered, frowning as they parted.

"Ask yourself why," Shichen replied.

"…Mm."

"Is it okay?" he asked again.

"I… I don't know…" Kurumi shook her head.

"It's fine. I'll be very gentle," Shichen said, caressing her cheek to soothe her.

"…Okay."

Kurumi looked at him, then gave a small nod.

That gentle gaze of his made it impossible to find a reason to refuse—and besides, she didn't want to fall behind her best friend.

"Then…"

Seeing that Kurumi had agreed, Shichen didn't hesitate anymore and began to "play accompaniment" for her.

Kurumi followed along, humming softly in time with him.

After a short while, her brows knit suddenly—she almost let out a cry of pain, but forced herself to hold it back.

Shichen waited a bit, then continued the rhythm.

Kurumi opened her throat and let out a low song.

Her voice was just as lovely as the others': beautiful and clear, pleasing to the ear. Shichen couldn't help quickening the tempo of his accompaniment.

As the tempo sped up, Kurumi's humming also grew quicker.

For a moment, her song filled the room, a voice that tugged at the heart, making anyone listening want to join in and sing along.

Shichen hadn't put up any soundproofing barrier—but in this house, there was only one other person.

Outside the door, Yamauchi Sawa leaned against the frame, listening to the music drifting out from inside, a faint smile on her lips.

Sure enough, Shichen hadn't let her down. Give him the opportunity and he really would follow through.

His stamina really was monstrous.

The song inside was unbelievably teasing; listening to it really made her want to go in and take part. But she still held herself back.

Now wasn't the time—the moment belonged to Kurumi. Let her enjoy her own little two-person world.

There would be plenty of chances in the future.

She listened for a while longer, then finally pushed off the door and returned to her own room to sleep.

She had finally gotten what she wanted, and properly "made up" for Kurumi.

Kurumi's voice really was beautiful. Just thinking about teasing her tomorrow, and about the embarrassed, flustered expression she'd show, was enough to put Sawa in a good mood.

With that thought, she soon drifted into dreams.

Next door, the singing continued—soft, low, but rich and powerful. From the sound of it, it was going to last a good long while.

The next morning, Shichen opened his eyes and was greeted by a glossy curtain of black hair, along with a soft warmth against his arm.

Lowering his gaze past her bangs, he saw Kurumi's gorgeous sleeping face.

Waking up to such a beautiful, alluring sight really was a luxury.

Last night, Kurumi had been completely passive. She only knew how to sing and didn't do anything else; Shichen had treated her like a doll, moving her however he liked.

He'd posed her in all kinds of ways.

Even though she'd been shy, she hadn't known how to refuse, only unconsciously singing on and on.

She'd been far too easy to bully.

Still, last night he'd only used two poses: one facing him, and one in that "kitty stretching" posture.

She'd resisted anything else.

He could only unlock the rest slowly in the future.

Kurumi's brows were still faintly creased, her cheeks round and flushed, with the faint traces of dried tears at the corners of her eyes.

Shichen couldn't help raising both hands, wanting to wipe those tear tracks away. But as soon as he touched her cheek, her lashes trembled and she slowly opened her eyes.

"Shichen…?" Kurumi mumbled, still half-asleep.

"It's me," Shichen answered with a smile, nodding.

"Why are you… in my bed?" Kurumi tilted her head, asking in confusion.

"Did you forget we slept together last night?"

"We did?"

"Try thinking about it properly."

"Mm…"

Kurumi squeezed her eyes shut and tried to recall. Memories from last night surged up one after another—from discovering Sawa's disaster of a room, to the three of them bathing together, to the way she'd uncontrollably started singing…

By the time her thoughts reached that part, her whole face flamed bright red, looking incredibly tempting.

She fumbled at the blanket, but couldn't find anything to hide under, so she could only bury her head against Shichen's arm to cover her embarrassment.

"What's there to be shy about?" Shichen asked, amused.

"Mm!" Kurumi shook her head back and forth, her long hair swishing in a mess.

Soft and silky.

Shichen rubbed the back of her head gently, coaxing her in a soft voice.

"Sawa wasn't like this at all, you know."

Kurumi froze.

Slowly, she raised her head and looked up at him, still red-faced.

"Is there something on my face?" she asked.

"You're terrible!" she said instead, glaring at him in shy anger.

Though she called him "terrible," her tone was closer to a spoiled complaint than real blame.

"How am I the terrible one?" Shichen protested.

"You were lying to me all night!"

"Lying?"

"Hmph. From 'I won't do anything,' to 'just trying it a little,' all the way to the end…" Kurumi trailed off, too mortified to say more.

"That's hardly my fault," Shichen said innocently.

"How is that not your fault?"

"Well, you were the one right next to me. I couldn't help myself," he leaned in and murmured.

"Mm…" Kurumi blushed even harder.

"I—I should get up. I still have to go to school… ah—"

The moment she tried to sit up, pain lanced through her and she sucked in a sharp breath, body going stiff.

"Dummy. You don't even know your own condition," Shichen scolded her fondly.

"It… it didn't hurt this much last night…"

"Of course it didn't. You were too caught up in the moment," he teased.

"I was not!" Kurumi protested immediately.

"Denying it in front of me won't work~"

"Mm… you're awful…"

"Come on, let me heal you first." Shichen reached out a hand.

"Oh… Wait, what are you doing?" Kurumi yelped.

"Healing you," he replied.

"Why do you have to… heal there…" Kurumi froze, not daring to look, and could only accept it.

"Because I have to touch the wound to heal it," Shichen said as his hand began to move gently, using his power.

"Mm…" Kurumi couldn't stop the sound that slipped out; warmth flowed through her, and it really did feel much better.

The pain blurred, then faded away altogether.

This kind of injury was easy enough to fix—but after healing her, Shichen didn't immediately pull his hand back. Instead, he continued slowly stroking.

Her skin was fine and smooth, that narrow line etched perfectly into his fingertips, everything around it soft and springy. He couldn't resist prodding a few times with his fingers.

It didn't take long for Kurumi to realize something was wrong.

She slapped his hand away in flustered anger.

"Shi!"

"Mm? What's wrong?" he asked innocently.

"What do you think you're doing? You already finished healing me…"

"Did I? I didn't notice."

"I don't believe you for a second! I didn't know you were this perverted!" Kurumi blurted.

"How is that being perverted?" Shichen protested. "What's our relationship now?"

"Even so, you can't just… do that whenever you want… and last night, you even used your mouth…"

"It was delicious~" he said cheerfully.

"You… I can't take this, I'm getting up!" Kurumi couldn't handle his shamelessness anymore. Beaten by his teasing, she flung back the blanket and climbed out of bed.

Shichen stayed where he was, watching her, taking in every line and curve with his eyes.

Truly perfect—like a work of art, from her pale, round hips to every inch of skin.

Kurumi could feel his burning stare. Embarrassed, but unable to argue, she hurriedly walked toward the door as fast as her body would allow.

"I'll clean the room, you don't have to worry about it," Shichen called after her.

"Are you really not going to… keep it?"

"Keep what, exactly!" Kurumi shot back over her shoulder without turning around, and fled the room.

Shichen lay there on the bed for a moment, shaking his head, then got up himself.

The bed really wasn't very comfortable at the moment—sticky, stiff, and in need of washing.

Leaving the room, he didn't see Kurumi or Sawa, so he headed for the bathroom.

As expected, Kurumi was there, showering.

The moment Shichen appeared, she noticed.

"W-Why are you here?" Her voice was nervous; she was terrified he'd start something again.

"I'm here to shower too," Shichen said casually, stepping under the neighboring showerhead and rinsing himself off as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

"Mm…" Kurumi gave him a sideways glance, then immediately looked away.

She didn't dare look again.

The two of them washed like that in silence for a while.

Shichen finished first, but didn't leave. Instead, he helped wash Kurumi off as well.

She couldn't refuse him at all, and could only stand there and let him fuss over her from head to toe.

When they were done, they left the bathroom together and went back to their rooms to get dressed.

This time, Shichen didn't try anything; after changing, he headed straight to the kitchen to start on breakfast.

Kurumi got dressed and walked into the living room, watching Shichen move around in the kitchen with practiced ease, and a wave of happiness quietly welled up in her chest.

"You're both up already?" Sawa came out of her room just then.

"Yeah," Kurumi replied, glancing at her—still not quite used to her friend's new white hair.

"What are you staring at me for?"

"…It's nothing," Kurumi said quickly.

"What, was last night not enough for you? Your voice was so pretty~"

"…"
