In the evening, after eating the delicious Sacred Fire Roast Beef, Shichen and Frieren and the girls studied magic.
Together, the three of them were most interested in researching magic, but not in anything else.
Shichen was on the side, watching the three of them discussing so fiercely, not interested in participating at all.
Learning magic was enjoyable, but studying it was meaningless to him.
Shichen hoped that the next world would be a modern one, and then he could teach Frieren to use electronic devices to "bring her down."
He imagined the white-haired elf — clearly described as ancient but with a childlike appearance (loli) — becoming addicted to gadgets like a geek girl.
Shichen had asked her about her powers, but she said she didn't remember. He suspected she just didn't want to say.
At this point in time, she shouldn't be that old, so how could she forget?
But it didn't matter. Shichen didn't care about age — in fact, the older the better.
After all, Frieren looked like a "loli," and the older she was, the more "legitimate" she became.
A bit later, the three girls seemed to be getting really into it — like they were about to invent a new spell.
But Shichen remembered they had started by talking about hairstyles.
A magic spell that changes hairstyles? Forget it.
Shichen laid on the ground and stared up at the clear night sky.
The night sky in this world really was beautiful — bright stars, white moon, no dust.
This world would be a nice place to retire.
"Shichen, what do you think?" asked Flamme.
"Huh?" he turned his head.
"The hairstyle-changing magic — what do you think?"
"Haah~ as long as you all like it," he replied with a yawn.
"Don't you really like doing my hair?" Frieren asked.
"Oh? Is that so?" Serie raised an eyebrow.
"Master?" Flamme looked at her.
"It's nothing."
"I do like doing your hair," Shichen said, "but it's always better to do these things by hand."
"Why? Isn't that a hassle?"
"You wouldn't understand."
"I get it now," Flamme said, smiling meaningfully.
"Flamme?" Frieren looked confused.
"Hehe~ You'll get it one day." Flamme rubbed her head.
"Flamme, why do you like this too?"
"Hm? So Shichen gets to touch you, but I can't?"
"Neither of you can!"
"Alright, alright, I'll let Shichen do it."
"Got it."
Shichen sat up, grabbed Frieren by the wrist, and pulled her into his arms.
"Wait—what are you doing?"
"Just following what Master said."
"I don't need that!"
"Just a moment, I'm going to sleep soon."
He places his hand on her head and rubs it. She struggles briefly, realizes she can't move, and gives up.
Serie looked at them and smiled, but it seemed like a sneer.
"I'll leave you two alone," said Flamme, waving and walking off.
"Master?"
"Let's go." Serie nodded, and they both left.
With only the two of them remaining, Shichen got bolder, placing a hand on her flat, soft stomach.
Her waist was so slim he could encircle it with one arm.
"Why are you hugging me?" Frieren asked.
"I don't know, my hand just started acting on its own."
"I almost believed you."
"See? It's doing it again."
Then his fingers started tickling her side.
"Wait—haha~ Stop! Hahaha~ don't tickle!"
"I can't control it!"
"Uhh… hahaha~ stop…"
Frieren's helpless laughter echoed under the night sky.
She collapsed into his arms, exhausted.
"Huff… huff… I'm so tired."
Shichen looked down at her face and smiled:
"Your laugh is really cute. You should laugh more often."
"No way!"
"Then I'll have to do it myself again."
"No!"
"That's not up to you."
"You devil."
"Thanks for the compliment."
Frieren was suddenly kissed by Shichen.
He didn't go further, just a quick peck, then licked his lips.
"Why'd you sneak a kiss?"
"I just felt like it."
"I didn't agree to it."
"Not the first time."
"I didn't agree then either."
"But you were the one who started it."
"You obviously caused it." Frieren frowned.
"Do you want to do it again?"
"No."
"I can't help it. It's the only way to get you out of here."
"What do you mean?"
"You'll find out soon."
Shichen finished, lowered his head again, and kissed her. Then, he buried his face in her neck, his fangs gently piercing her skin.
"Uh..." Frieren frowned slightly.
Shichen sucked a bit of her cold, delicious blood and then began injecting his own into her.
Frieren didn't even have time to feel the sting in her neck before something poured down into her, carrying tremendous magical energy.
"This is...!"
Startled, her entire body glowed and was wrapped in pure magic — as if she had become magic itself.
The glowing light around her shrank, and then she disappeared — into Shichen's body.
"Where is this?" Frieren's voice echoed from inside him.
"Inside my body."
"How did I end up in here? What did you do?"
"I just did that thing."
"...What's with all this magic? And who are these other beings?!"
"Hello," greeted Yatogami Tenka calmly.
"And you are?" Frieren was surprised to see someone else — and notably, someone beautiful and wearing slightly revealing clothes — inside Shichen's body.
"Don't worry, I have nothing to do with him," Tenka replied.
"Don't worry about what?"
"Never mind. You're just like Tohka — another clueless girl."
"Who's Tohka?"
"My sister."
"Oh."
"Frieren, spend some time with Tenka," Shichen interjected.
"Aren't you going to let me out?"
"Tomorrow. For now, just feel the changes in yourself."
"Oh..."
Shichen breathed a sigh of relief. He had succeeded — now he could take anyone to other worlds with him.
Then it was time to celebrate.
…
He entered at his room and stood quietly on the wooden floor, staring at the dark ceiling.
Soon, he heard soft footsteps, followed by a small, girlish voice next to the bed.
"I... I'm here," Serie whispered, her voice trembling.
"Get up here," Shichen said with a smile.
"Get up where?"
"Where do you think?"
"Oh..."
Serie hesitated, then climbed onto the bed, straddling his stomach.
Shichen placed his hands on her waist — as slender as Frieren's, but tougher.
"The barrier...?" Serie reminded.
"Why are you in such a hurry?" he teased, then cast a soundproof barrier.
"I'm not! I just don't want Flamme to hear."
Shichen sat up, held her in his arms, and whispered by her ear:
"Then let's finish what we didn't last time."
"W-What we didn't finish...?" Serie grew even more anxious.
They hadn't completed the 'final step' last time... so what now?
"Will it hurt? I'm so small..."
"You're a great magician from the mythological age — are you scared of something like this?" he teased.
"This is different."
"Don't worry, I'll be gentle."
"Really?"
"I won't lie to you."
"Then... okay."
Shichen held his breath, gently pushed her down, and began to remove her only piece of clothing.
The room was dark, but he could see clearly. Her body wasn't glowing like moonlight, but it mesmerized him.
Serie had her eyes closed, tense and nervous.
Shichen's eyes turned red, fangs grew, and he leaned down to bite her neck.
"Uhh!" Serie flinched, but bit her lip and didn't open her eyes.
He stopped, merely tasting, stimulating her senses.
In the dark room, her flushed cheeks were clearly visible — irresistibly tempting.
Shichen leaned in and kissed her again.
Soft moans echoed faintly through the room — inaudible outside, no matter how loud they became.
But two others were watching.
"This guy's becoming more of a pervert," Yatogami Tenka muttered.
Frieren didn't respond. She was afraid. What if this happened to her someday too...?
After all, it looked terrifying — and Serie was so small.
