"So this is where we first met, huh."
Shichen looked up at the half-collapsed old transmission tower. It was leaning at an unnatural angle, like some enormous force had slammed into it.
Honestly, the only ones capable of something like that were his Familiar—or maybe Tohru and her crew.
"Yeah! You looked so cool back then, Shichen-nii!" Chisato's eyes sparkled as she recalled the memory.
It was seared into her mind—something she would never, ever forget.
"Oh yeah? How cool are we talking?"
"The coolest in the world—wait, scratch that—the entire universe!"
Shichen chuckled. "You're gonna make me blush."
"I'm not even exaggerating. I'm just telling the truth."
"When did you get so good at sweet-talking?"
"Hehe~ I'm just being honest!"
"Well then, be extra honest. Tell me more."
"Haha~ come on, let's go check out the top!" Chisato grabbed his arm, pulling him along.
"You sure you wanna go up there? It could fall apart any second."
"I'm not worried. You're with me~ And besides, I'm a lot stronger now!"
As she spoke, her ruby-colored eyes glowed faintly, and when she smiled, two small, sharp fangs peeked out.
She'd already completed the blood merge with Shichen—becoming a full vampire, his familiar.
Her body was now immortal, enhanced beyond human limits.
She could probably leap straight to the top with one jump. Even broken, the tower was still several stories tall.
But during their recent fight, she hadn't even needed that power.
"You look incredible," Shichen said, admiring the fang-like teeth.
"Really?" she asked, cheeks blushing pink.
"Of course."
He leaned down and gave her a light kiss.
"I want another one!"
Before he could move away, Chisato suddenly leapt up and wrapped her arms around his neck—and her legs around his waist.
To keep her from falling, Shichen instinctively supported her by gripping her butt. The two of them stayed close, locked in a deep kiss.
The place was totally deserted. Quiet. A rare moment just for them.
But Chisato wasn't greedy about it. After around ten minutes, she gently pulled back. Her eyes, still glowing faintly, looked straight into his.
"Shichen-nii… let's go to the top of the tower."
"Alright."
He carried her with ease and, with a simple leap, landed on what remained of the upper tower.
The interior was trashed—dust, shattered glass, and broken stone everywhere. The ground didn't feel safe at all.
Shichen stood on a slab of concrete, raised a hand, and summoned a gentle wind that cleared out a small space.
Chisato hopped down from his arms and looked around with a distant, thoughtful expression.
She used to be like a cold, mechanical assassin—just following orders, no thoughts of her own.
But then… she met Shichen. That day, he'd smiled at her. Treated her like a person. Helped her. Saved her.
Even healed her heart condition.
That smile of his... it stayed with her. It made her want to live like him—freely, happily, like she belonged in the world.
"Shichen-nii," she turned to him with a soft, radiant smile.
"Yeah?"
"What do you think of this place?"
"You thinking of doing something?"
"I am." She nodded firmly.
"Then go for it. I'll back you up."
"Hehe~ You said it. Don't go taking that back."
Chisato suddenly lunged forward again, wrapping around him like a clingy octopus. She leaned in close and whispered into his ear: "Make me a woman."
Shichen tilted his head, locking eyes with her. Her glowing red eyes were full of anticipation.
She blinked innocently. "Didn't you say you'd help?"
"This is kind of sudden… and here of all places?"
"Because this place matters to me."
"Our first meeting… huh."
"Looks like you haven't visited the younger me yet."
"Not yet."
Two divine fragments still lingered in Chisato—one carrying the essence of the Ho-Oh, implanted during her treatment, and one that was hers by nature.
The Ho-Oh fragment couldn't be retrieved yet, not while it still existed inside Shichen too.
Time loop logic. Divine fragments didn't follow normal physics.
As for her personal shard… he figured he'd need to fulfill their original moment to claim it.
"You remember what you said to me back then?" she asked.
"Am I even allowed to say?"
"Probably not. But here's a hint: whatever we're about to do, you're gonna end up telling the younger me anyway~"
"…Seriously? And I just said that? No hesitation?"
"The younger me didn't doubt anything."
Shichen sighed quietly. He remembered how lost she'd been back then.
"So… you hesitating now? Don't tell me the great Shichen's scared?" she teased.
"Me? Scared?" He smirked and gave her a playful smack on the butt.
"Mm—"
Chisato gripped him tighter with her legs. "Then what are you waiting for?"
"I just think there might be a better spot for this."
"Nope. This is perfect. And I don't want it to be like with Tohru or Utaha."
"…Wait, you know?"
"Of course I know. They were glowing afterwards, and even walking differently. Something definitely happened."
"And I met you before Utaha! I should've gone first!" Chisato pouted.
"Ahem… stuff like this depends on timing."
"Well the timing is perfect now."
"You're really sure?"
"I've been ready."
"…Alright."
Shichen formed a barrier around the tower. No one outside could see or hear a thing.
Chisato let go, landing on the ground. She raised her arms. "Shichen-nii, help me undress."
She was wearing a light yellow T-shirt and tight shorts.
Without saying a word, Shichen reached down and slowly lifted her shirt.
As it rose, the dim tower seemed to catch some invisible moonlight.
The shirt dropped to the ground. Her skin was pale, smooth, almost glowing.
Her underwear—also yellow—could barely contain her chest.
She noticed his stare, blushed harder, and straightened her arms to the sides.
"It opens in the front," she whispered.
He unfastened it. Her chest bounced free, soft and full.
"Shichen-nii… the shorts…"
He popped the button and they dropped. Her legs were toned, flawless.
She curled her toes in her sandals.
"Keep going…" she whispered.
Only one last piece remained.
He crouched, hooked his fingers, and slid it down.
He looked up and saw… a few dark strands and a hint of soft pink.
He swallowed hard.
"Want me to help you with yours?" she asked.
"I've got it," he replied, stripping in seconds.
Chisato's face turned redder but she didn't look away.
"Chisato…" he whispered, pulling her into his arms.
Skin on skin—smooth and warm.
They kissed, gently at first, then with more intensity.
They moved from standing to lying down, Shichen above her.
The ground had already been cleaned.
And in the ruins of the old tower… spring returned again.
A beautiful, silent melody bloomed between them.
Outside, everything stayed still and quiet.
No one on the nearby streets knew. No one saw. No one heard.
No one knew that the old tower had once again been "bullied"… by the same man who'd taken it down the first time.
