Chapter 205 - Chapter 205: One big bed, one guy problem

"Oh, let me introduce them. This is Yatogami Tohka, and this is Yoshino. From today on, they'll be living with us."

Shichen then turned to Tohka and said, "Tohka, this is Utaha—Kasumigaoka Utaha."

"H‑hello," Yoshino stammered, nodding politely.

"Nice to meet you, Utaha! I'm Yatogami Tohka. Shichen gave me this name—doesn't it sound nice?" Tohka beamed and held out her hand.

"He chose your name?" Utaha blinked and shook her hand.

"Yup!" Tohka nodded vigorously.

Utaha looked at Shichen in puzzlement.

"I'll explain in a bit. Let's eat breakfast first," he said.

"Did you cook? Is there kinako pan?"

"Hehe, of course there is."

"Then let's hurry!" Tohka grabbed Shichen's arm and trotted downstairs.

Tohru and the others followed close behind, clearly getting along.

"Utaha, why are you spacing out? Come on!" Chisato, who was last in line, beckoned.

"Oh, right…"

While they ate, Shichen repeated Tohka's and Yoshino's situation.

"Spirits? The kind I know? No wonder they're so pretty," Utaha sighed in admiration.

"Not quite that kind—they're a little… special," Shichen chuckled.

"Special?"

"Tohka, Yoshino—show them your Astral Dresses."

"O‑okay."

Tohka gulped down her kinako pan, then walked to an open space, Yoshino beside her.

"Astral Dress: Ten!"

"Astral Dress: Four!"

Violet, violent spirit energy and pale‑blue, icy spirit energy burst from their bodies. In a flash their pajamas vanished, replaced by spirit gear—Tohka in a purple armored dress, Yoshino in a green puppet‑style outfit. The two "ordinary" girls were suddenly dazzling spirits.

"So beautiful! So cute!" Utaha exclaimed without restraint.

Tohru and the others barely reacted—only Takina's eyes were still round with shock. She had thought this place was normal; apparently, she was the normal one.

What kind of crazy place is "DA"?

Do I even need to go back?

"Thank you," Tohka said with a smile.

"Th‑thank you," Yoshino echoed shyly.

"So these are spirits… are novels all lies?" Utaha asked Shichen.

"Of course not." He waved Tohka and Yoshino back to the table. "The spirits you know do exist—you just haven't met them yet."

"Yet?" Utaha narrowed her eyes. "Don't tell me you've got more family in other worlds?"

"Mm‑hmm—my sensei," Shichen grinned.

"Sensei?" Tohru perked up.

"When there's a chance, I'll let you meet them—and my kouhai, too. She's a real spirit."

"She, huh? Hehe—Shichen, what's your relationship with her?" Chisato asked with a mischievous grin.

"You sure ask a lot!" Shichen glared.

"Everyone wants to know," Chisato retorted.

Shichen glanced around; aside from Takina's blank look and Tohka stuffing more bread in her mouth, everyone was staring at him curiously.

"A‑hem—You'll find out later. Eat up! I worked hard on this breakfast—don't you like it?"

"Ah! Shichen-dono's changing the subject!"

"Do we even need to guess? We all know what that 'kouhai' is to him," Utaha muttered, secretly glad she'd acted on her feelings yesterday.

"Haha, Shichen, you're such a sinner," Chisato teased.

"Is your butt itchy?"

"Oh my—going to punish me, Shichen? I don't mind~"

"Don't corrupt Kanna and Yoshino."

"Shichen~ Shichen~ what's 'corrupt'?"

"Don't worry. Let's just eat, okay?"

"Okay~"

After breakfast, once the café opened, Shichen showed his face downstairs briefly, then went upstairs to study magic. He wanted to create teleportation magic.

Magic to enlarge rooms could wait—Tohru could handle that. Still, it would be useful: expand the house at will, build a huge bath so they could all soak together, maybe even add a pool for summer. Public pools? No thanks—he'd rather see Tohru and the others in swimsuits privately.

Creating magic sounded hard—and it was. The difficulty lay not in concept but in constructing the spell formula; the structure had to be perfect for the magic to work. Shichen spent the entire day refining it, and no one disturbed him.

Tohka, fascinated by the café, acted as temporary manager all day, watching Chisato and Takina work and popping into the kitchen to ask Tohru for more kinako pan.

She felt sympathy for Tohru's exile by the so‑called Divine Clan and wanted to bond; Tohru felt the same. Still, mention Shichen and the two became instant rivals—but nothing serious.

Yoshino and Kanna spent the whole day in the third‑floor game room and became fast friends (though Yoshino might get addicted to games).

Utaha skipped school, sat as a customer, and tried to write her novel—but made no progress. Her mind kept drifting: the thrill of soon learning magic, and the memories of last night. Tohka occasionally noticed her blushing but, being unfamiliar, didn't pry.

By evening, Utaha had adapted to Shichen's blood and could learn magic. Her bright red eyes—like Chisato's—now glowed at will, seductive and bewitching.

The spell she wanted most was teleportation, for easy commutes; other spells mattered less. Since Shichen hadn't completed teleportation yet, he taught her three basics:

1. Field of Flowers

2. Telekinesis

3. Small flame attack for self‑defense

To Shichen's surprise, Utaha was a natural. He gave her the lessons, went for a bath, and came back to find she'd mastered them all—proof of a modern mind's imagination. He decided not to pile on more; better to get proficient first.

That night they all slept together again—Utaha included. Only Takina stayed in her own room.

Utaha was surprised by Shichen's magically expanded bedroom, but hey—she could use magic too.

One big bed, one guy—problem.

"Shichen-dono, I'm sleeping next to you tonight!" Tohru declared.

"Me too!" Tohka echoed.

"Nope. I'm hugging Kanna and Yoshino tonight." Shichen refused.

"What?! You promised yesterday we could sleep however we like!"

"Shichen, are you breaking your word?" Tohka pouted.

The two actually teamed up; Shichen wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry. He looked to Kanna and Yoshino for help, but they didn't like fighting.

"Shichen~ I'll let Tohru‑sama have you tonight," Kanna said.

"M‑me too, it's fine…" Yoshino agreed.

"So then…"

"Hold it!" Chisato suddenly raised her hand.

"Chisato, what do you want?" Tohru glared.

"I want to sleep with Shichen too! Utaha, you do too, right?"

"Mm… I do," Utaha admitted—no point hiding now.

"No way! Only two people can sleep on either side of Shichen!"

"Easy—fair competition will settle it."

"Fair competition?"
