"Wife," Kael called, and Lilah raised her head, her heart thumping at yet another new and loving title. "Would you like to go see the bedroom now?"
At the mention of a bedroom, Lilah began to think all sorts of weird things.
Why did he want to take her to see the bedroom?
Was there something there? Or...
"Why is your heart beating so heavily?" Kael asked, inching closer with a light smirk. "Nothing's going to happen. I've shown you around, so I thought I should show you the bedroom next."
"Oh." She blushed. Yes, there didn't have to be a grand reason.
What was she thinking?
She placed her hands on her flushing cheeks, and he chuckled. She was cute.
"Alright then, shall we go?" he asked, and she nodded, standing up, only to have him scoop her into his arms.
"W-what?"
"Ah, I know you can walk, but allow me to carry you because I want to," he said, and she buried her face in his chest. He even knew the kind of things she could say now... How embarrassing.
