"Saikawa!"
"Kanna!"
The two little girls stood together, both looking very happy.
"Oh my, this child must be Kanna, right?"
Several figures slowly approached from behind Saikawa Riko, one of the women smiling warmly as she spoke.
"Hello!"
Kanna greeted her with her usual innocent expression.
"Hello, I'm Riko's mother. And this is… Kanna's oni-chan, right?"
The woman first greeted Kanna with a smile before turning toward Sato with a question.
"Yes, very happy to meet you."
Sato replied with a smile.
"But I heard you're still in high school? Shouldn't you be in class today?"
The woman looked at him curiously.
Sato smiled.
"Yeah, but I asked my teacher for a day off. Maybe because my grades are pretty good, the teacher approved it."
"I see. Sounds like your grades must be excellent."
The woman looked at him in surprise.
Being able to casually ask for leave and get approval like that was not something ordinary good grades alone could accomplish.
After chatting for a bit, they entered the school together. Quite a few parents had already taken seats around the sports field, while many teachers maintained order nearby.
Kanna and Saikawa Riko still needed to return to their classroom to gather with their classmates, so Sato and Tohru were arranged by staff members to sit in the spectator area.
After sitting down, Sato noticed Tohru constantly looking around at something.
"Tohru, what are you looking for?"
After sitting, Tohru answered with a strange expression,
"I keep feeling a familiar aura."
A familiar aura?
An aura familiar to Tohru?
After pondering for a moment, Sato's heart suddenly tightened.
Could it be some creature from another world?
He was just about to activate his Observation Haki module and investigate carefully when he suddenly felt an inexplicable sensation. He stood and looked toward the distance behind him.
Seeing this, Tohru curiously stood up as well, then quickly brightened.
"It's Lucoa!"
Lucoa?
Very quickly, Sato spotted a dragon girl with light golden hair amidst the slightly stirred-up crowd.
Among ordinary humans, the pair of dragon horns on her head made her incredibly easy to identify. However, the surrounding humans whose gazes drifted strangely clearly were not stirred up because of her horns.
Sato sensed magical fluctuations coming from the unfamiliar dragon girl. Clearly, she had cast some sort of cognitive interference spell on herself.
And what had stirred up the humans was…
"Hiss!"
Sato suddenly sucked in a cold breath, his gaze immediately becoming somewhat unfocused.
Didn't something this absurdly massive only exist in doujin works?
The unfamiliar dragon girl was a beautiful blonde woman with narrowed eyes and heterochromatic pupils, her right eye green while her left eye contained dark and yellow tones. Her clothing was extremely revealing, and her chest size was especially astonishing…
Very quickly, the beauty Tohru called Lucoa seemed to notice them. She looked toward their direction, immediately revealing a delighted expression before happily waving toward Tohru.
"Tohru!"
Boom boom!
Somewhere vaguely in the air, whether illusion or not, countless people seemed to hear such sound effects.
At that moment, Sato heard countless people sucking in cold breaths.
"Lucoa!!"
Tohru also waved excitedly.
Immediately, Sato noticed countless gazes turning toward him, each carrying all sorts of complicated meanings.
Envy, jealousy, resentment, and… bitterness?
Sato's mouth twitched.
You people are seriously jealous of a high schooler?
And also… aren't you worried about family harmony?
His expression suddenly became strange.
Looking at those men who swallowed hard under the icy gazes of their wives before hurriedly showing pleading expressions, Sato revealed a faint smile.
But as Lucoa arrived before him, he suddenly felt an indescribable pressure.
Not from other people's gazes, but from Lucoa herself.
These are way too huge, aren't they?!
Sato's gaze drifted involuntarily. It was hardly his fault. Any normal person would be drawn in the instant they saw Lucoa.
The sheer oppressive weight of them was terrifying.
"Long time no see, Tohru!"
"Long time no see!"
The two dragon girls happily reminisced after reuniting, and standing together only doubled the pressure Sato was enduring.
Soon, Lucoa's gaze landed on Sato. To his surprise, she apparently already knew about him.
"So you're Kanna's owner?"
Owner?
What kind of weird title was that?
He frowned slightly before calmly replying,
"Kanna is only staying at my house temporarily."
"Yes, yes, I know! Nice to meet you, I'm Lucoa!"
The blonde dragon girl looked at Sato with her smiling narrowed eyes, making it impossible to tell what she was really thinking.
"Hello, I'm Nohara Sato."
As Sato introduced himself, he discreetly opened the profile card he had just obtained for Lucoa.
[Name: Lucoa (Quetzalcoatl)]
[Occupation: Feathered Serpent God]
[Race: Dragon]
[Age: ????]
[Threat Level: S]
"Feathered Serpent God?"
Sato subconsciously read out what he saw.
"Hm?"
Lucoa looked at him curiously before scratching her head and laughing foolishly.
"People still remember that name?"
Sato blinked while staring at her somewhat blankly.
"You mean… the Feathered Serpent God from my memories?"
"Huh? Are there other Feathered Serpent Gods?"
Sato: "..."
Holy shit!
This time he was genuinely shocked, staring at the dragon girl with world-class balls in complete disbelief.
The Feathered Serpent God was a symbol of Mayan culture, a supreme deity said to bring civilization, represent death and rebirth, govern life, wind, and rain, and symbolize harvest and sowing.
And now she was telling him that this seductive, somewhat airheaded-looking dragon girl before him was that Feathered Serpent God?!
Sato opened and closed his mouth, his expression becoming somewhat dazed.
"One more thing. How long have you been in this world?"
Sato began verifying his suspicions.
"How long?"
"Mmm… let me think. The first time I came here was probably…"
Lucoa rubbed her chin thoughtfully before uncertainly saying,
"Five thousand? Six thousand years ago?"
Well then, that confirmed it.
