"Your world is about to change." A voice whispered to me. I turned around but everywhere was dark and I couldn't make anything or anyone out.

"Who is there?" I called out into the darkness.

"I'm a friend Arin, no need to be frightened." The soft voice called out to me.

"What do you want with me?" I questioned, my senses on high alert as I could feel the person moving around me in circles.

"I don't want anything from you. I'm here to help you." The woman revealed and my brows furrowed in confusion.

"Help me?" I asked.

Rather than striking Jaxon, the black lightning struck me. Just as Luna Morrigan let go of her blow, I flung myself in front of him. Like an ice-and-fire hammer, the dark energy crashed into my chest. I flew backward with a scream and collided with the stone wall behind me.


However, I was already getting back up. Instead of killing me, the lightning struck like a broken light switch. Although it hurt, I wasn't seriously harmed.


Luna Morrigan had a startled expression. "Interesting. You're more resilient than I thought."


Wiping blood from my mouth, I shot back, "Yeah, well, you're uglier than I expected."


My evil twin sister chuckled. "Are you still joking? How incredibly... human of you."
