Necessary Alliance
***Arin's POV***
Suddenly, the frozen bodies surrounding me staggered backwards as a howl split the air. For a brief moment, the Creator's control faltered, but it was sufficient.
Unaware of who I was speaking to, I yelled, "Now!"
With twenty warriors in tow, Alpha Vaughn bounded through the trees. His claws were already out, and his eyes were burning with rage.
"Leave my sons alone!"
Through Elder Mava's body, the Creator chuckled. "How predictable. The old Alpha arrives."
Alpha Vaughn growled, "You're not taking my family, predictable or not."
However, I could see the controlled individuals turning toward the newcomers even as he was speaking. Kael began to move forward, his hands raised like claws, his blank eyes fixed on his father.
In a voice different from his own, Kael said, "Dad, you should have stayed away."
Alpha Vaughn yelled, "Kael, fight it!"
"He can't," the Creator said cheerfully. "They're mine now. None of them can."
