"It's alright—even if it takes time, we're behind you all the way!"
Hearing Su Mo from the Index world say this, the Campione Su Mo immediately offered his support.
"If you can refine this spell, we might gain a trump card that surpasses even Ultraman Tiga!"
Forget Tiga—even his Shining Form might be slightly inferior when compared to the value of the [Light of the Right] spell.
Given his current level of cursed energy, if he were to unleash [Light of the Right], the sheer destructive force could possibly reach star-destroying levels.
Even so, one might argue that Tiga at full power could also destroy a star.
But what if he used [Light of the Right] while in Ultraman Tiga's form?
The theoretical maximum output in such a scenario… even Su Mo himself couldn't begin to estimate.
But one thing was certain—it would far surpass his current expectations.
"Yeah, totally!" Su Mo from the Danmachi world nodded enthusiastically. "Besides, weren't we talking about scheming for the Holy Grail?"
"If we could obtain the Third Magic—Heaven's Cup—with its infinite magical energy…"
"…and then channel that energy into [Light of the Right]…"
At that point, Su Mo from the Danmachi world trailed off, but his implication was obvious.
"Wouldn't that basically make us invincible?!"
Su Mo from the One Piece world lit up with excitement.
"Well, maybe not invincible, but as long as we don't run into some broken bug of an opponent, we're pretty much unbeatable," the Type-Moon Su Mo replied, eyes gleaming.
Infinite magical energy, paired with a spell that scaled infinitely with mana input—if they could truly achieve those two conditions, while total world destruction might still be out of reach, obliterating entire star systems might just be possible.
It would mark a monumental leap in their power level.
"So if there's anything we can do to help, just say the word!" Campione Su Mo said eagerly, staring at Index Su Mo.
"Whether it's slaying angels from the Church or obtaining some other divine authority, I'll… do my best to assist!"
Hearing that, Su Mo from the Danmachi world couldn't help but tease him.
"You sounded so fired up at first! But ending it with 'do my best' kind of kills the momentum."
"You think I want it to be like this?" Campione Su Mo replied helplessly, raising his hands. He too would love to slap his chest and say, "I'll take down whichever Heretic God I want."
Unfortunately, reality didn't work that way.
The descent of Heretic Gods wasn't something he could control. Even Perseus had only been summoned by replicating the events of the original story.
So no matter how much he wanted to slay more gods, he could only wait for them to show up on their own.
"Got it, got it!"
Index Su Mo finally understood just how eager the others were.
The [Light of the Right] spell was extraordinarily powerful to all of them.
But because the Index Su Mo's own situation was especially perilous, he wasn't as enthusiastic as the others. Learning this technique would certainly boost his strength greatly—but even with it, he still wouldn't be qualified to face a Magic God.
So ironically, despite being in the most danger, his motivation was the weakest.
Only after seeing the others' anticipation did he nod and say, "I'll do my best to speed up the research into this spell. And if I need your help, I won't hesitate to ask."
After all, they were all the same person—no need to stand on ceremony.
"Speaking of summoning gods, though, why not try using the summoning methods from the Type-Moon world?" he suggested to Campione Su Mo.
In the Campione world, forcibly summoning deities through shrine maidens was possible, but the success rate was low, and most of the shrine maidens were one-time sacrifices. Even disregarding moral concerns, it was clearly not a sustainable strategy. Otherwise, the Marquis Voban wouldn't have stopped after just a few tries.
In contrast, the success rate of summoning Heroic Spirits in the Type-Moon world was much higher—primarily due to the existence of the Throne of Heroes.
However, the Campione world also had its own divine domains and the Netherworld. If one could learn the summoning rituals from the Type-Moon world and adapt them to summon actual gods in the Campione world—
—then Campione Su Mo might be able to have a constant stream of deities to slay.
"After the first divine slaying, subsequent kills only increase the number of authorities, not your total magical energy," Index Su Mo noted, rubbing his chin.
"But I'm really curious—if you were to slay hundreds of gods and accumulate hundreds of authorities, just how powerful would you become…"
"Sure, more authorities don't necessarily mean a higher rank in power."
"But with enough quantity, quality might emerge."
"Even if your total energy output doesn't change, the synergy of those authorities could create massive boosts. The destructive force you could release would be in a whole other league."
"At that level, I wouldn't be surprised if even the King of the End was reduced to a punching bag."
Even if the total cursed energy remained the same, by optimizing and layering all the authorities together, the resulting power would surely be terrifying.
The problem was—no Campione in the last few thousand years had ever slain hundreds of gods.
The most anyone had was maybe a dozen or so authorities.
Which meant no one had ever had the chance to test this theory.
"Hiss, that's quite the wild idea you've got there." The Campione Su Mo couldn't help but comment after hearing the suggestion from the Index world's Su Mo. But from the look on his face, he was clearly intrigued. "If I can summon enough heretic gods and gain a new Authority every day, eventually, I might collect an entire pantheon's worth of powers. At that point, my strength would transform completely."
"The only issue," he added, "is whether the Heroic Spirit summoning method from the Type-Moon world can be adapted to summon gods from the Campione world."
Saying that, the Campione Su Mo turned his gaze to the Type-Moon Su Mo—who, as a native of that world, was obviously more familiar with the intricacies of its magic system.
"…"
Faced with the question, the Type-Moon Su Mo could only shake his head.
"Even if you ask me, I don't really understand the summoning techniques behind Heroic Spirits," he admitted. Having grown up in the Tohno and Nanaya families, he was well-versed in assassination techniques and the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, but as for Heroic Spirit summoning… he honestly knew nothing. "The Servant I summoned before was just me mimicking what I'd seen. I don't actually understand the magical theory behind it."
"Still, I think your idea is plausible," he said after a moment of thought. "Even if the Holy Grail War's ritual doesn't work outside the Type-Moon world, there's always the knowledge from the Clock Tower on spiritual descent magic. That area of magecraft should have parts you could adapt."
After all, Type-Moon magic was systematic, almost like a form of science. Even if the Grail summoning rituals couldn't be used in another world, the underlying principles of descent and spirit summoning might still prove useful in the Campione world.
"Yeah, that would work too." Campione Su Mo nodded in agreement. "Whatever increases our chances of summoning gods is a win in my book. I'll leave that to you to keep an eye on."
Hearing that, the Type-Moon Su Mo shook his head with a smile. "It's mutual cooperation—no trouble at all."
What was difficult in one world might be simple in another. That's exactly why Su Mo from different worlds needed to work together. Cooperation was the key to growing stronger faster.
After listening to everyone speak, the DanMachi Su Mo cleared his throat.
"Ahem! Time for your class rep to give a quick summary!"
"So to recap: the Index Su Mo will focus his efforts on researching the [Light of the Right] technique. The Type-Moon Su Mo's main goal is the Holy Grail, with secondary focus on collecting spirit descent knowledge. As for the rest of us three, our job is to provide support."
"Summary complete. Any additions?"
The others exchanged glances and shook their heads.
For now, perfecting the [Light of the Right] and acquiring the Third Magic were clearly top priorities. Those two breakthroughs had the potential to massively increase their overall combat power. Compared to that, descent magic was a secondary concern.
Seeing there were no objections, the DanMachi Su Mo nodded.
"Alright then, there's one last matter I'd like to bring up for discussion."
The others looked at him curiously, wondering what topic still required group input.
The DanMachi Su Mo continued. "To prevent the kind of mess that happened with our last batch of newcomers, I suggest we assign one of us to remain here in the Misty Space on a rotation."
He was referring to the earlier confusion between the Type-Moon and One Piece Su Mo when they had first arrived. If the Campione Su Mo hadn't shown up at the time, the two of them might have remained under the false assumption that the Misty Space only contained them.
Granted, such a misunderstanding wouldn't have lasted forever—they would have eventually encountered others. But still, accidents happen.
What if a version of Su Mo arrived who rarely came to the Misty Space and never discovered the rest of the group?
To avoid that, the DanMachi Su Mo suggested that someone should always stay behind in the Misty Space to keep watch. That way, they'd never miss a newcomer—and newcomers wouldn't miss them either.
