Chiyu hadn't expected the person who stepped in to protect his crew… would be none other than the Pirate King's right-hand man—
Silvers Rayleigh.
Even without his help, the Uchiha had enough power to hold its ground. But it would've been a struggle—definitely not the flawless victory they had now.
The realization hit Chiyu hard.
Why would someone like him…?
In a burst of lightning, he shot into the sky like thunder, splitting the clouds apart.
Rayleigh looked up, smiled calmly like always, and muttered,
"He's back."
Commodore Hina, Nami, Franky, and the others all looked up, their eyes lighting up.
"It's Chiyu-sama!"
But the Marine vice admirals? Their faces were pale.
"Wait, what?! Wasn't Admiral Kizaru fighting him?"
"Don't tell me… Kizaru lost?!"
"No way—that's one of our strongest! An Admiral!"
And yet—Chiyu landed on the Uchiha in a literal flash of thunder, to the thunderous cheers of the Marines under his command.
He glanced at Rayleigh and asked coldly, "Why?"
Rayleigh just smiled.
"No big reason."
"If anything, I guess seeing you kill that Celestial Dragon felt… satisfying."
"Consider it a little thank-you—for doing what I've wanted to do for years."
Hina opened her mouth to speak, but didn't.
As much as she hated relying on a pirate, she couldn't deny it: if Rayleigh hadn't intervened, this place would've been a bloodbath.
Chiyu didn't argue. He just turned and looked at the Marine vice admirals.
All familiar faces—from that Buster Call at Water 7.
"If you want to live—step aside."
Doberman, Onigumo, and the others were completely stunned.
Rayleigh had stepped in.
And even Kizaru couldn't stop Chiyu.
With those two monsters on the field, it didn't matter if even more Admirals showed up—none of it would make a difference.
No one could win against Silvers Rayleigh and the "God of Slaughter" Uchiha Chiyu together.
"What do we do, Doberman?"
"We're out of options. Even if we gave it everything, we wouldn't stand a chance against those two. Besides…"
"Kizaru already made his move. This isn't our failure."
They all got the message. They roared for show, sent their ships charging forward—but deliberately left a giant opening.
Chiyu didn't want to waste time with them either.
The longer they stayed, the more likely it was that reinforcements would arrive.
Sabaody was already falling apart.
And if more monsters showed up, this whole thing might spiral into another Marineford-level war.
Right now, Chiyu was surrounded by enemies.
The whole world wanted him dead.
He couldn't afford to slow down.
He gave the order—break out.
The vice admirals gave a token chase before peeling off.
Rayleigh laughed.
"Smart move."
Chiyu turned to him.
"You helped me. I'll repay the debt."
Rayleigh shrugged.
"Didn't ask you to."
"I'm a pirate. I do what I want."
Chiyu nodded.
"I have my own code. No one changes that."
Rayleigh smirked.
"Fair enough."
"For the Navy's grim reaper to owe someone—that's rare as hell."
"Since I already started helping you, might as well see it through."
Nami looked curious.
"You mean…?"
Rayleigh asked,
"So where are you headed next?"
Hina hesitated.
"Chiyu killed a Celestial Dragon. He's a global fugitive now. There's no way we're going to Marineford to swap ships and cross the Red Line. That leaves only one path to the New World…"
"Fish-Man Island," she said.
Rayleigh chuckled.
"Exactly. But your ship won't make it."
"Even if it's a top-line Navy model, it's not coated. No way it survives 10,000 meters underwater."
Nami's eyes lit up.
"Wait… can you coat it for us?"
Rayleigh burst into laughter.
"Of course I can! These days, I'm just a humble coating guy. People around Sabaody call me 'Bubble-Ray!'"
"I'll coat your ship, no problem."
Chiyu didn't like it—but he didn't stop him either.
He already owed Rayleigh one. What's one more?
Even as just a coating technician, Rayleigh's skill was top-tier. He coated the entire ship—even diving underwater to seal the hull and keel—while it was still in motion, already leaving Sabaody.
Everyone—Hina, Nami, Franky—watched with awe.
Nami murmured,
"He may be a pirate… but he really helped us. And…"
She didn't finish, but Chiyu understood.
"Silvers Rayleigh… if you ever need something—come to me."
It sounded casual, but it wasn't.
It was a promise.
Rayleigh laughed.
"If the Navy's Reaper is saying that, I guess I don't have to worry about dying anytime soon."
"Thanks. Guess I'll be heading out."
Nami blinked.
"Wait—how are you getting back?"
Rayleigh shrugged.
"I'll swim."
"Swim?!"
Before anyone could react, Rayleigh dove into the sea and swam toward Sabaody like it was no big deal.
Hina let out a sigh.
"What a bizarre guy…"
Franky raised his fists.
"Yeah—but a terrifying one, too!"
"I saw him back in Water 7 when he was with the Pirate King. He's aged a bit—but he's still totally SUPER powerful!"
Sabaody faded into the distance.
Chiyu shook his head and put it behind him.
Hina said softly,
"Chiyu-sama… we've officially burned every bridge. Marines, pirates—no one's going to show us mercy now."
Chiyu replied,
"Then we'll fight our way through."
Everyone froze—then saluted.
"Yes, sir!"
There was no turning back.
Everyone on the Uchiha was now a global enemy.
No retreat?
Then that's the perfect path forward.
Chiyu took one last look at the sea and the now-vanished Sabaody.
"Dive."
The Uchiha began sinking beneath the waves…
…
Somewhere else on Sabaody...
Admiral Kizaru blinked into another battlefield—
And there he saw it: his old mentor Zephyr, trading monstrous blows with Vice Admiral Garp.
BOOM!
BOOM!
No powers, no tricks—just raw, brutal force. Two legends colliding like titans.
Kizaru landed beside them, frowning.
"Zephyr-sensei. You're really doing this?"
Zephyr glanced at him but didn't stop. He and Garp clashed again—shaking the ground, making even the Marines panic.
"I didn't choose this," Zephyr said.
"You left me no choice."
Kizaru shook his head.
"Why is everyone so determined to fight the whole damn world?"
Vice Admiral Tsuru spotted him.
"Borsalino—where's Uchiha Chiyu?"
Kizaru didn't bother hiding anything.
"I sensed my teacher's presence. Knew what was happening. Came straight here."
Tsuru paused—then sighed.
"I see. But letting Chiyu go… The Navy and World Government won't be happy. You'll be punished."
Kizaru shrugged like it was nothing.
Ain and Binz—Zephyr's students—were trembling.
Garp and Kizaru both here?!
Even Zephyr couldn't handle this…
Is this where we die?
But Zephyr looked calm—almost relieved.
Death, to him, wasn't a curse. It was freedom.
He even laughed.
"Kizaru, you haven't changed a bit."
"You act laid-back, but you're ruled by emotion."
"You sensed me, ditched your mission, and ran here like a kid."
"You do realize, right?"
"That Uchiha Chiyu—he's the real threat. The most dangerous man in the world."
Even in the face of an admiral, Zephyr spoke like a teacher scolding a student.
Kizaru knew he was right.
But he had already made his choice.
"That guy's not easy to kill," Kizaru muttered.
"Even if I could beat him, I couldn't stop him from escaping."
Zephyr smirked.
"Is that so? So he's grown that strong… What a terrifying man."
Just then—Doberman and the others arrived.
Tsuru narrowed her eyes.
"Weren't you surrounding the Uchiha? What happened?"
They all exchanged awkward glances.
"Ahem… Everything was going according to plan. Ten Navy warships had the Uchiha completely surrounded. And then…"
"Some guy showed up. Ruined everything."
"Who?" Tsuru demanded.
Doberman sighed.
"Silvers Rayleigh. Roger's right-hand."
Garp and Zephyr were both stunned.
"Rayleigh?! What the hell was he doing there?"
Doberman grimaced.
"He said… Uchiha Chiyu killing a Celestial Dragon was too satisfying not to support. So he helped him."
Everyone was speechless.
Garp, however, just burst out laughing.
"That old bastard Rayleigh… never changes!"
"Bwahaha!"
Tsuru scowled.
"This is no time to be laughing!"
"If the Navy's assault failed, and Kizaru abandoned the mission… then Uchiha Chiyu and his crew are already gone."
"Did none of you stop to think what that means?!"
"That man—if left unchecked—might become even more dangerous than the Revolutionary Dragon himself."
