Chapter 218 - Chapter 218-54: Myriad Thunder Torrent! Chiyu vs Kizaru! Zephy vs Garp! Chaos in Sabaody!

Chiyu and Kizaru stood at a distance, locked in a tense standoff.

Neither dared to underestimate the other.

To Chiyu, Kizaru might look like some laid-back, sleazy guy who never takes anything seriously. But behind that lazy facade was a monster—someone whose strength easily rivaled Aokiji and Akainu.

Hell, he might actually be the strongest of the three.

Especially with that Glint-Glint Fruit of his—a rare Logia-type ability that just might outclass Chiyu's own Rumble-Rumble Fruit.

But a real fight isn't decided by Devil Fruit powers alone.

And then—

They moved. At the same time.

Kizaru vanished into a beam of golden light, disappearing instantly.

Chiyu gave him no opening. His body turned into crackling lightning, vanishing just as fast.

From afar, the watching crowd didn't even have time to react. Both men had vanished without a trace.

Then—

BOOOOOOM—

BOOOOOOM!!!

An explosion of golden light and roaring thunder split the sky. Energy poured down from above, crashing like divine judgment—each side flooding the heavens with sheer force.

"Yasakani no Magatama!"

Kizaru unleashed a downpour of shining energy blasts—so fast, so bright, no one could follow them. Everything in their path burned to nothing—air, land, reality.

But Chiyu was ready.

He fired back with wave after wave of pure lightning.

This wasn't borrowed power like Enel's Ark. This was his.

Controlled. Precision-guided.

Bolts sliced through the sky like railguns, detonating with pinpoint fury.

He called it: Myriad Thunder Torrent.

The sky above the Sabaody Archipelago was lit up like the end of the world.

Every person—civilians, pirates, Marines, bounty hunters, even the Celestial Dragons—stared in wide-eyed shock.

"Wh-What the hell is that?!"

"That light—it's Admiral Kizaru, no doubt!"

"And that thunder… Uchiha Chiyu, no question!"

"They're going all out?!"

"We need to go! Sabaody's about to be wiped off the map!"

Panic. Chaos. Ships fled in every direction like panicked birds.

Inside the bar, a man had just returned. He looked up at the sky with a calm, almost amused smile.

His messy white hair and beard, the glasses on his face—he looked like a man who'd lived through it all and now just wanted peace.

"So it's started, huh?"

Shakky nodded, smoke trailing from her cigarette.

"Looks that way."

"Didn't expect Kizaru to show up," Rayleigh muttered, shaking his head.

"Thought it'd be Akainu."

Silvers Rayleigh—the Dark King himself—chuckled.

"If Akainu had come, Sabaody might already be a crater."

"I bet Sengoku knew that too. That's probably why he sent Kizaru—the more... relaxed option."

He stared at the sky again.

"Still… light versus thunder. What a fight."

"So who are you rooting for?" Shakky asked, smirking.

"Both are Marines. Neither side's exactly your ally."

"I'm just a humble coating craftsman now," Rayleigh replied.

"But if I had to choose, I'm with Chiyu."

"Really? Even though he hates pirates like poison? He came here looking for you, you know."

Rayleigh laughed.

"Is that so? Shame I missed him."

"You're laughing? If he had found you, you think he'd let you go? Even if you're on his level, it'd be one hell of a mess."

"And the Navy might tolerate you living quietly—but fighting in the open? That's a whole other thing."

Rayleigh's smile faded just a little.

"Captain Roger was the same. We had enemies in the Navy, but that never stopped him from calling some of them friends."

"He even trusted Garp with his own son."

Shakky scoffed.

"Chiyu isn't Garp. He wouldn't hesitate to cut you down."

"I know," Rayleigh nodded.

"Still—he killed a Celestial Dragon. Just for that... I respect him."

Shakky sighed.

Even in hiding, they'd seen the corruption. The arrogance of the Celestial Dragons. The rot that festered at the top.

Even someone like Rayleigh hadn't dared to act.

But Chiyu had.

And he'd done it as a Marine.

Rayleigh stood up.

"Shakky, hold the fort. I'll be back."

"Don't do anything stupid, old man."

Rayleigh laughed as he walked out.

"C'mon. What stupid things have I ever done?"

"Do you really want me to answer that?" she muttered.

Admiral Zephyr had just landed. The moment he saw the sky, his eyes narrowed.

His disciple Ain was stunned.

"Sensei… is that—?"

Lightning and light clashed in Zephyr's reflection.

"Yeah. That's Kizaru," he said coldly.

"Sengoku sent him to try and contain the damage."

He wasn't wrong. Both Rayleigh and Zephyr understood Sengoku's reasoning instantly.

"What now?" Ain asked.

Zephyr smirked.

"Uchiha Chiyu... He actually killed a Celestial Dragon. Now that's a man worth watching."

"We've already turned against the Navy. The whole world's our enemy now. Someone like him? He's our ideal ally."

"Anyone else got the guts to do what he did?"

Binz stepped forward.

"You're hoping to join forces with him, aren't you sensei?"

"Exactly. He can't go back now. His only path is rebellion. So why not give him backup?"

"And to be honest—he's the most impressive Marine I've seen in decades."

Ain and Binz exchanged looks—and nodded.

"Yeah... A Marine doing this? That's unheard of."

Just as they were about to head for the battlefield—

Two shadows stepped into their path.

Garp. And Tsuru.

Zephyr stopped, lips curling into a bitter grin.

"Didn't think you two would show up so fast."

"Sabaody's close to Marineford," Tsuru replied calmly.

"Zephyr, it's been a while!" Garp said, grinning.

"Cut the crap, Garp," Zephyr snapped.

"I'm not here to talk."

Tsuru frowned.

"We didn't want it to be this way. But the Navy answers to the World Government."

"And that excuses it?" Zephyr's tone was ice.

"You think saying 'it's not our fault' makes it better?"

"Don't talk to me like I'm some fresh recruit."

"We've been Marines our whole lives. We've seen how rotten this world is. Maybe you can still stomach it…"

"But I've had enough."

Tsuru's voice tightened.

"So what—rebellion is your answer? You think you'll fix this by turning your back on the Navy?"

"Until we find a better way, the Navy and the Government are the lesser evil."

"Or would you rather drown the world in blood?"

Zephyr stared her down.

"That's exactly what I plan to do, Tsuru."

"Not just pirates. I'll burn the Navy and the Government down with them."

"I'll destroy this entire filthy world!"

Garp and Tsuru's faces hardened.

"You've really gone off the deep end…"

Garp sighed.

"Sorry, Zephyr. We're old friends—but now we're enemies."

"Let's do this."

Zephyr grinned.

"Come on, Garp. Let's see if your Fist of Love still packs a punch."

The two Marine legends—once comrades, now bitter enemies—were about to explode in a clash worthy of legends.

Tsuru looked at Ain, Binz, and the rest of Zephyr's loyal followers.

She closed her eyes and whispered—

"Then I'll be the one to wash away your sins…"

Their battle still thundered above the Sabaody Archipelago.

Both men landed—facing each other, unrelenting.

Kizaru slowly shook his head.

"Yeah… Light and thunder really don't mix well."

"Guess I'll have to kick things up a notch."

A brilliant sword of pure light extended from his palm—radiant, massive, and razor-sharp.

"Ama no Murakumo."

Chiyu didn't waste words.

He drew his own sword—Shusui, the black blade once wielded by Ryuma himself.

A Great Grade blade, a national treasure of Wano, now infused with Chiyu's own Armament Haki and raw lightning. It roared with black thunder and burned like a demon's fang.

Kizaru narrowed his eyes.

"That's one scary blade…"

Then—BOOM.

The ground cracked. Air detonated.

They vanished—only to reappear mid‑strike.

CLANG—!

BOOM—BOOM—BOOM!!!

The world itself trembled as light and lightning collided once more.

The true fight had only just begun.
