'Rage is blindness.' She muttered internally, remembering the words Ziriel always used to say. On this one, she had no choice but to agree with that heartless woman.
When she finally calmed, Vaela fixed her glowing neon eyes on Nur — her father — then began to scan the room, even beyond it, trying to sense if anyone else was approaching, but…

"I sent all the others to the other Nest," he smirked, "figured they'd be more useful there than here."
