Chapter 185 - Politics and losses ( Luther’s POV )

I always dreaded when people said they hated politics.

It wasn't out of some born, mad-driven nationality or because I thought the government was meant to help the citizens — far from it.

It was solely because the politics were impossible to escape no matter the level of indifference towards it.

The price of the bread you eat? Yeah, some rich guy in Parliament did pay up for exclusivity over the grains market —buying votes — so now the price is triple.

The water you drink? The government might have decided if clearing and filtering it was not that important so they cut funds from that, putting you in danger of getting sick from it.

The education your children have? They wrote it for them to be informed enough to work for them, but not enough for them to actually start a revolution.

It was an inescapable curse— you had no choice. Politics were everywhere.

F-ck, I could even blame the politics for the reason I am leashed and collar-shocked right now.
