Ryuzaki stared at her, his purple eyes boring into her soul like he was trying to read her deepest secrets.
Blazar batted her lashes in response, letting them flutter like butterfly wings against her cheeks. The gesture was innocent, sweet, calculated.
Still he stared. She jutted out her bottom lip in a perfect pout, her eyes growing wide with hurt. "I thought you liked me," she whispered, her voice trembling just enough to sound believable.
Ryuzaki's smile was sharp as a blade, dangerous and knowing. "Like is an over compliment. I just took interest in you."
Blazar rolled her eyes, the movement quick and sassy. "Same difference. You just don't want to admit it."
Then it happened. Ryuzaki reached for the glass, his fingers wrapping around the delicate stem as he brought it to his lips.
The poisoned wine touched his mouth, and he took a slow, deliberate sip. The ruby liquid slid down his throat, carrying death with it.
